Hard Mode Raid Loot Should Drop 310-320 ONLY
No exceptions.
If people put forth the effort, than ALL DROPS should roll in the 310 (preferably 311) - 320 window. There's no justification for the converse to be true. None. Nien. Don't even try.
Please change this ASAP. Doing these encounters and walking away with a lower-300 drop is NOT worth the time spent. Period.

Edit: Thanks for feeling the need to tell me how it works. Got lots of prior HM completions Y1. I'm expressing the fact that I think it should work [i]differently[/i]. Maybe read the post a few more times. All drops means all drops, right? I could care less if some of them are "normal" drops. I think the difficulty justifies this, as you could still roll 2x 310 ghosts on Glyphs, as an example.
But I do need to thank you guys, haven't laughed so hard at so much vitriol in a long time, haha.

Final Edit: Those that disagree had little more to say than "that's stupid", while those in favor had more insightful, supplemental reasoning to add to my own. It's pretty clear that the loot treadmill is worse than ever, but if you're blind to the run, I guess keep running.

We are all -blam!-ing idiots for one simple reason, we are grinding for 320 gear just so in a months time we can grind for 330 gear. When will this grind fest of a single raid end?

I've don't hard mode 6 times now and have not gotten the best drops but I'm cool with it, I can use the lower light stuff to start infusing my other gear.

The raid should give gear that is the highest light level period and both raid gear and exotics should be at the primary/special/heavy weapon ammo level, not specific weapons. The only thing that should be up in the air is intellect/discipline/strength stats as well as elemental perks. Everything else should be fixed and the same for all. Otherwise, why spend several hours if you just keep getting shit you can't use or barely advance your level?

I've gotten 3 boots from hard raid and all of them have been 304. RNG is such bs sometimes lol

They seperated the drops because armor and weapons have no established level. so they had to seperate the loot drops from hard and normal, otherwise you would have a chance at getting -310 loot as your hard mode drop. that would have pissed of even more people. If you only get -310 normal drops its not that the normal loot table screwed you out of hard mode drops, its that you werent going to get anything regardless for it

3 RepliesYeah, Hard raid drops seem a little underwhelming for most of it. I got some decent drops, but rolling shards for a hardmode drop is really a twist of the knife in the gut, especially after struggling for hours and getting the "drops are better" line from Bungie.

I've been saying this since the raid came out. None of this patty cake 301-309, 311-319 b.s. it's hard enough to get the drop you need. You shouldn't have to then hope the light is at a level that can help you.

Are you saying that if you get a drop that [i]isn't[/i] harrowed that it should automatically drop at 310, and anything that [i]is[/i] harrowed drop between 310-320?

1 ReplyIf you haven't cleared normal mode first, hard mode will drop normal mode and hard mode loot. You can tell by the color of the armor or weapons. White = normal mode, black = hard mode. Sometimes you will ONLY get normal mode drop, because drops are not guaranteed in HM.
