That's all fine and dandy, you want there to be a fair game for everyone, but who here has beaten Crota without cheating at the bridge?
I'll be honest, I've cheated every time just to collect the rewards, and I'll do it again in a heartbeat. I've also cheated, by carrying people through Nightfalls. I usually solo 95% of the Nightfalls, then get on destiny lfg only to invite two people who hasn't done it yet. Usually it's just a rocket from my Gjallarhorn and the enemy is dead. No, not even the wolf pack rounds, only the rocket and the enemy is dead. But those two I've invited still received exotics or strange coins.
If you ban one set of people, ban them all.
They won't though, because they need the money.
The cry babies strike again!!!!
Edit: it's weird how some of you can justify that one form of cheating is okay(cheesing) because Bungie hasn't done anything about it, but are willing to crucify another group of people because their cheating takes away from their experience or affect someone else negatively. As hard as it is finding a raid group if you don't have the right weapons, some people out there do actually want to do the raids legit, but they don't speak out because they don't want to be that person. Isn't that person who refuses to speak out being cheated?
Edit two: oh shit, you folks are something else. Lol

4 RepliesYou are the biggest retard to exist on these forums.

13 RepliesThere's a difference between cheesing in game and cheating. You can only cheese PVE and this has no detrimental effect on how other people enjoy the game, YOU choose "cheese or bungie way" it affects no one. However, cheating (lag switching or the MUI thing everyone is talking about affects everyone else within that particular game in an unfair way. No one cares if you cheese the bridge in crota but to enter a PVP game where you cannot take damage is totally unfair and a real dick move. They're two totally different actions with totally different consequences.

1 ReplyI take it you cheat in trials and are waiting your ban?
-
28 RepliesThing is, i don't see what you are doing as cheating. Cheesing, taking advantage of ropey in-game mechanics, yes, but not cheating. Lag switching in Trials, that's a different matter all together.

Edited by Famdian: 7/30/2015 9:52:58 AMThe biggest difference is bungie is creating the cheeses by not fixing them. The other one the player's are creating the cheat. Now for some reason bungie is only willing to look into fixing one but not the other. Just my opinion

5 RepliesEdited by Joyful Fodder: 7/30/2015 9:42:45 AMI've run both raids legit multiple times. It's not that hard and most of the time it takes longer to do the cheat than do it legit.

5 RepliesSomeone responds, he responds....debunks what he's saying....discussion ends with OPs crazy talk. Next person responds....debunks what he's saying....discussion ends with OPs crazy talk. I'm seeing a pattern here.
OP is a cheater and trying to justify it

we'll see if you're online tomorrow ;)
2 RepliesStrange you don't see the difference between cheating Crota's bridge with just your controller in hand and lagswitching or DoSing other players. Really strange... In the first case you just take advantage of a bug the developers still have to fix, in the second you're doing what in many countries is considered a crime.

23 RepliesGood sir... In the future...please refrain from going full retard again. Never go full retard. With kind regards A concerned guardian
there's a difference between using the games built in mechanics in interesting ways, and altering your console and/or network for your own gain
4 RepliesSounds like your a PvP cheater tbh. Single player exploits are completely different to cheating other 'real' people I'm pretty sure the ogres don't post on the forum complaining that people have jumped the bridge again
-
1 ReplyHelping in a nightfall is not a cheat and by glitching the bridge part you dont harm other players...
-
1 ReplyBungie tweeted a few minutes ago that bans are being issued to those who messed around with the network :)

7 RepliesI cheated once, In organic chemistry.

I dont think any of the cheeses are accidental glitches. I think they were put there on purpose sans pushing atheon off a cliff and getting chests more than once. Give them credit, do you REALLY think they couldnt just throw a wall up to keep you off the bridge tower? Or that you can titan jump off a lamp and there just happens to be a path on the top of the chest rooms that cuts to the pad bridge? Even the last eris quest you think its space magic that allows even a hunter to scoot up the beam to a safe spot? Just sayin. Ive seen alot of exploits in my life but these seem more like easter eggs.

1 ReplyEvery example you gave has nothing to do with network manipulation. There is a difference.
-
7 RepliesWait... so ban people for swiping across the bridge? Have you ever tried doing that as a hunter without bones of eao? It's easier to do the bridge legit.
-
8 RepliesEdited by Juhoveli: 7/30/2015 9:33:38 AMThis should fix all.

8 RepliesYeah killing the swordbearer and swiping across and getting people in on nightfall awards is not even remotely the same thing. What your saying is ridiculous lol
-
1 ReplyThere is a difference between cheating and cheesing mate
-
2 RepliesHere's the problem with your logic... Crota and Atheon aren't going to quit playing after getting frustrated at us for cheesing them. Plus...they aren't real people with money. Cheating in pvp causes people to get frustrated and potentially quit.
-
1 ReplyI wouldn't go as far as to say that cheesing the bridge part is a bannable offense. How is it our fault that it's an easier way without changing or manipulating the game mechanics? If it was that big of a deal then bungie should just patch it like they patched being able to push Atheon off the side

There have been pve bands for network manipulation. Remember when you could pull the LAN cable and keep crota kneeling? Several players were banned for that
