That's all fine and dandy, you want there to be a fair game for everyone, but who here has beaten Crota without cheating at the bridge?
I'll be honest, I've cheated every time just to collect the rewards, and I'll do it again in a heartbeat. I've also cheated, by carrying people through Nightfalls. I usually solo 95% of the Nightfalls, then get on destiny lfg only to invite two people who hasn't done it yet. Usually it's just a rocket from my Gjallarhorn and the enemy is dead. No, not even the wolf pack rounds, only the rocket and the enemy is dead. But those two I've invited still received exotics or strange coins.
If you ban one set of people, ban them all.
They won't though, because they need the money.
The cry babies strike again!!!!
Edit: it's weird how some of you can justify that one form of cheating is okay(cheesing) because Bungie hasn't done anything about it, but are willing to crucify another group of people because their cheating takes away from their experience or affect someone else negatively. As hard as it is finding a raid group if you don't have the right weapons, some people out there do actually want to do the raids legit, but they don't speak out because they don't want to be that person. Isn't that person who refuses to speak out being cheated?
Edit two: oh shit, you folks are something else. Lol

1 ReplyPlain and simple. You do anything against TOS your banned.
-
4 RepliesHow can you not see the difference one form causes other players to lose something the other only effects the player himself

16 RepliesThe term "Cheese" and "Cheating" have come to be seen as the same thing but it is not. I can personally say I have never cheesed Atheon, Templar, or any aspect of crota. I'll will use Street Fighter as an example. A person playing as Ken or Ryu and throwing nothing but fire balls at you to keep you at a distance is a person who is cheesing, but that is not a cheat because you are using game mechanics just using the same one repeatedly. A person who mods their console to give themselves "God Mode" so they could take everything and never be damaged would be cheating. Cheesing a game aspect is different then lag switching or MTU changes.

1 Replyenjoy your ban when it drops, with a post like this I can only assume you cheat in PvP
-
Cheesing in PvE is far different from cheating on PvP

8 RepliesEdited by Flynn: 7/30/2015 5:46:12 PMPvP is supposed to be about fair, competitive gameplay against other humans. If someone goes outside of the game (i.e. changing router settings) then it's unfair to everyone else and ruins competitive gameplay. PvE is against the computer. If there's an exploit to do something easier/quicker, then it's up to Bungie to fix it, not ban people for it. Since they can't "fix" people changing their router settings, the only other solution to get them to stop doing it is to ban them.

14 RepliesHow surprising, someone with a negative KD thinks lag switching is acceptable in PVP.
-
There's a difference between Poor level design/poor game mechanics and hacking/tampering with a server/network or internet connection.
-
1 Replyikr. Crota was all 'that kill didn't count because you reached me by jumping the bridge gap. Bungie, please ban!'
-
1 ReplyU are a noob if you cheese a raid get skills Donkey

you are trying to compare apples and mangoes here. You are using the in game systems in a way they were not really designed to be used that way, but thats the way its always been. You can solo nightfalls, but not trials. You get match made in the weekly but not the daily. Lag switching, modifying the MTU of the console and otherwise manipulating the network output of your consol is against the Terms of Service for using the game, and the console that you agreed to when you signed up to use the system. If one or two people were using it, then it wouldn't be a thing. Truth is that every match I have played in whether it be control, clash, trials, doubles, someone always has a bad internet connection, either on purpose or not, but they dont take damage and are teleporting about the map, aka god mode. This is becoming more prevelant especially in trials because of flawless, and the best rewards are in trials. Minor exploit vs Hacking

1 ReplyIt must be hard being that stupid huh?
-
2 RepliesI only consider despawning enemies "cheating" the bridge with sword thing i consider a cheese witch isn't unlawful in terms of video games.
-
4 RepliesBeat both normal and hard legit multiple times and if someone wants to do it legit I have no issues doing it. Just easier and less time consuming to cheese.
-
13 RepliesDoesn't sound like understand the difference between a glitch/bug and an exploit. Bungie clearly says they're banning people who are using any third party thing to manipulate their gameplay or someone else's gameplay (a.k.a. Lag switching.) lag switching ain't in-game so they can ban for it. Glitching out crota or inviting to nightfall are all in-game. That's the game that they officially made. You can do whatever you want in game.

4 RepliesYep did loot cave ,cheesed the bridge, and watched someone push off atheon, and cheesed the Winter run strike I really don't care if I did I really don't. This game bosses pose no threat and are poorly made
-
7 RepliesCheating and cheesing are two different things. Cheesing is find loopholes in the game design which the developers couldn't have foreseen or were to lazy to fix. They address those in patches and they slowly phase out of the game. Cheating is manipulating the game experience outside the bounds of the game, to give yourself an advantage against other human players. Taking away from someone's experience, playing outside the bounds of the game, and breaking the contract you agreed to with Bungie is in fact an illegal form of activity that deserves a ban. Bungie has acknowledge this and sees it this way as well, if you cannot comprehend the difference between the two, I'm sorry your logical deduction is elementary and you will not get far in topics that require critical thinking and logical analysis. With your logic those who used the rare candy glitch in Pokemon should all be banned for life as well.
-
5 RepliesOne is against the TOS the other isn't it's as simple as that. Hence the reason the whole pulling the ether net cable out on crota was addressed relatively quickly - it was a form no network manipulation. Exploiting poor game design on the other hand is purely on Bungie and they haven't bothered to fix half the cheesable uings because either a) it's not worth the time or b) they realise it has no real negative effect on other players and don't care

who here has beaten Crota without cheating at the bridge?
Me. Its really not hard at all.
-
28 RepliesYeah, this guy is an idiot.

5 RepliesCheaters defend cheaters. That's all that this post means. Have fun getting banned.
-
Well dude cheeseing pve events doesn't hurt anyone... But when you cheat and deliberately take advantage of other actual players and take away from their Destiny gaming experience, then that's a problem. That's how Bungie does and should view it as well. You not being able to see that shows how selfish you are, don't worry its not all your fault, a lot of that comes from how you're raised. If you keep taking the shortcuts all your life, you're gonna miss a lot of the good stuff.

For those of you who haven't read this guy's replies to some of the comments; He also believes anyone who shot into the Loot Cave during its glory days should be banned as well. He is either a brilliant troll or incredibly narrow-minded.
-
3 RepliesSeems like this guy doesn't know the difference between - Using a bug/glitch in a game to your advantage (which everyone has access such as cheesing atheon) & - Manipulating/Modifying something that will give the user an advantage & that will change the user experience, for example Lag Switch. (Everyone has access by building or buying one) But not everyone in game will have it.

5 RepliesEdited by RichyWoo: 7/30/2015 7:25:26 AMHeres the thing , using exploits to make things easier for yourself and your friends is not a terrible thing. When its you against the game and you swing things in your favour, in my opinion your naughty, not criminal. But if you are manipulating the game experience of other players and its having a negative impact on their gameplay its a major BLAMMING problem. Your exploits are effecting other consumers and your actions are technically criminal. If you are one of those guys who intentionally spoil things for other players, I hope the BANHAMMER takes your head clean off.

I just read all the comments (yes, I did...). The point is : you must be someone who cheated in Banner or ToO, and trying to feel good. You deserve your ban. You're a little baby without a brain. Git gut, scrub.
