If there could be another elemental type, what would it be?
I'd like to see a Corrupt elemental. Thorn would fit great for that one.

Solar basically is light from the descriptions of radiance or more literally the energy of photons and hydrogen fusion. I really really wish they would give some kind of tangible lore behind light and dark besides vague dichotomy. Arc is basically self explanatory it's electricity. So the different elements are aspects if the universe. We also have a darkness/corruption element in abilities of thorn but as guardians are corrupted to accomplish its making it is doubtful it can even work well with beings of light. Guardians using thorn now lore wise (not gameplay wise the game sacrifices a lot for this. Anyone wearing an acylophage symbiote by now should be Hollow) should be being corrupted. Doesn't mean evil like D Yor but at least like eris. So other elements would need to follow these guidelines in my opinion which limits the options.

6 RepliesThough it is not elemental, I would like to see a weapon in destiny utilize Sound as a damage type. A "Bass Cannon" if you will, cause we know it's "All about that bass".

Ice because it fits within the extreme sub zero temperatures found in space. Light because it is a natural balance/protagonist to void and could produce lore opportunity. I could also see an "earth" or stone/mineral element manifesting. Anything would be cool really, to add a different angle on our adventures, it's all good.

Biological elements like poison, bio spells from final fantasy or a nature based element using the technology of the traveller to make plants grow in places they shouldn't. Earth? Maybe make bullets made of dense minerals that could expand when they enter an enemy, turning them to stone. If they make it so that elements actually do something then I can think of other elements they could add. But as it stands elements don't do anything but play Simon says with shield colors. I hope they make elements more awesome in the future, like fire causing burning, arc causing paralysis, void causing....I dunno.

Light element. Good against all minions of darkness and their respective shields. Available through a special exotic bounty awarded to players who complete an amazing feat.
