I just taklked to Dave at Sony, you won't believe

Edit: I don't know if there is a higher up Dave or what, the kid I talked to was customer service at 1800asksony. The networking engineers went home on Christmas Eve and didn't return till yesterday. Why the duck did they not them call back In for this massive outage? Comcast would come to my house if my internet was out, but Sony figures -blam!- it, it's Christmas and we've sold millions of copies... It seems like they have an attitude of "we made our money and the sheeple will stay, who cares. The guy also said 3 days of servic is .14 cents a day, so like .39c we lost out on. I said yeah but multiply that by 220 million.... He said Sony hasn't confirmed lizard squad,, that it seems server overload and that made me mad. Who in the top exec's wouldn't think to use all the revenue they generated to upgrade servers for the influx. Idiotic business practices. The kid I talked to was a gamer and he was and has been frustrated too as the only people who got those days off we're the PSN department. EPIC FAIL Sony. Glad I returned my sons Playstation I bought for Christmas. Thanks to walmarts return policy who even let me return destiny. Sad Edit: I know .14c isn't 39c, I was just quoting him. He said 13-14c a day which is like 39c. I didn't frel like being a prick and saying anything as I got the point he was making.

  • No typically hard working men and women shouldn't be called back in for a service disruption. But when your company markets there product as a great Christmas gift you damn well better do everything in your power to ensure it operates on Christmas. Sony got your investment.   • Seriously the people saying these workers deserve holidays off need to learn a little bit about responsibility. Plenty of people work on the holidays. I personally ally am a power plant workers and have worked thanksgiving, xmas eve, xmas and I'm scheduled to work new years eve and new years day. All 14 hoir days. Would all you liberal ass holes think it would be ok if people like me just decided to not work the holidays and u don't have electricity? This is no different. We pay for a service and they have a responsibility to give us that service.

A good decsion insisting their engineers spend time with their family at Christmas who cares if a few spoilt over preverledged kids can't get online they should be with their family too.     • I get message from Sony telling me that my ps plus is finish after 12 months lest 3 days with not service and 11 months with so many problems and arrors signs that means lest hours of play, I am mad because psn do not working but they still charge the money we need to do something we are so many people and we make the companies rich, so we need to get something back for they mistakes, because they are ready to check out your accounts but we are paying for incomplete services

      • Why do people speak about this as if Sony is a company "by the people, for the people"? Our opinions don't matter because we make up just a fraction of their entire business model, so even if 50% of PlayStation owners returned or sold their ps4/ps3, that number is replaced within 6 months. We are expendable income, quit thinking you matter. And in 6 months no one will remember to think about this and we will all be back to normal. Let it go. I agree with them letting engineers go home for Christmas. Classy move Sony. Good job.

        • actually is it not just sony who thinks it wasn't the ls but they used the server overload to get some followers on youtube.. Everyone who followed their twitter and sonys and from finest squad and the psn offline/online status etc will know that the timing from LS was good but everyone with 5tabs could have claimed the responsibility.... Whatever... you will miss many games not just destiny and that is overall the reaction of a child..

            • xbl and psn are not utilities. Power, water even telecommunications are utilities and loss of service could be life threatening. Emergency crews stand by 24/7 to restore downed utilities. There is nothing life threatening about losing xbl for a day or two and no reason to pay holiday or time and a half to crews on standby. If you don't like it... call customer support, you will probably get a free month of service.

                I'm calling BS. This guy is customer service. He sits in front of a computer and fields phone calls. He only knows what they tell him. I seriously doubt every single network engineer was absent. That just makes no sense. Just so you know. Live is apparently down...again.
