Many people I have played with, and myself, have made three different characters. I do not see the point in making two of the same character. You are missing out on the full experience, a character is structured so you can change anything on them whenever you want, and they all do something different from each other. Only one reason, and seems like a waste of time, is to hit lvl 20 twice and flip armors. Again, very little point in doing that.

People just do it so that they can swap gear and do the hard raid multiple times per week without having to farm to get a full new set of gear. I agree though id much rather have completely different characters so I can have some variety when I play.

Yea, it makes it a hell of a lot easier to farm through nightfalls and raids. Id still rather play 3 different characters though, I just think its alot more fun than 3 identical characters.
