Jupiter and Saturn will never be playable because they are gas giants for those who never did science at school this means that they are made of gas and can't be walked on without sinking into the surface so yea everyone stop saying they will be planets at some point.
Edit: I'm trying to respond to everyone but it is getting harder the more people that respond so sorry if I don't respond
Edit 2: This is in no way implying that the MOONS of those planets won't be playable only that the planets themselves won't be
Edit 3: I'm getting sick of people saying TERRAFORM IT LIKE THEY DID WITH THE OTHER PLANETS you can't just make a gas giant solid and add an atmosphere and all of a sudden it's playable and nothing is wrong

Have you ever seen star wars? The planet bespin is a gas giant, but people still live on it
im talking about cloud city btw
-
Yeah because a giant ball turning Mars and Venus into a world with habitable conditions and breathable atmosphere, making little flying guys which will bring you back from the dead a thousand times, making you live for a couple of centuries etc., is totally possible...
-
5 RepliesHas nobody heard of Cloud City? They could easily make something like that on either of these planets.
The floating city in Star Wars...Just in case someone didn't actually know.
-
Hammer of sol won't be usable HERES WHY: If you didn't see the trailer the hammer returns when you throw it and that isn't physics so stop saying that you can use it.
-
When a loser compares real life to a video game. Chill out dick in booty look ass boy
-
You do realize this is a game right ? Lmao

Read some of the lore. The Jovians (Xur's species) are rumored to either on the moons orbiting Saturn and Jupiter. Although I do agree we'll never actually play on the gas giants, the moons are entirely possible seeing as how there's concept art for a frozen city on Europa. But then again, this is a game that lets us play on Mercury, a planet so close to the sun it rains metals. Idk, this was an interesting post and I still don't understand why people are freaking out on you.

2 RepliesEdited by Get2DaChoppa81: 9/12/2015 1:07:36 PMYou must not have "did science" at school either. The immense gravitational pressure the gasses are put under liquifies them... And as you get deeper in, turns them to metal. And it's theorized the core is molten rock. These aren't some clouds you could fly through... And then there's the Ice Giants...

1 ReplyBut yet in the game the humans were able to live on the Moon, Mars, and Venus. In the lore what the traveler did was teraform the planets making them all habitable for humans allowing us to expand throughout the system. It is not out of the question in a sci-fi game in which the main character is brought back from the dead and the humans inhabited Mars and Venus cause a giant sphere made them habitable for the humans that it also could have been done to the gas planets.

5 RepliesThere's gravity on the moon. There's space turtles. There's even aliens who's crippling weakness are lan cables. I don't think logic applies here.
-
They're gassy Giants. No "real" surface to land and walk on. Who knows, maybe there could be a level on one of their moons.
-
1 ReplyIt would be cool to go to some of Jupiter's moons or onto the rings of Saturn though!
-
1 ReplyEdited by Burrito: 9/12/2015 12:57:55 PM-blam!- the gas giants, let's just set foot on the sun. As long as we go at night we'll be good.
kappa
-
BUT WHAT IF WE GO AT NIGHT??? (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻
-
Brah, it's a video game. Absolutely anything is possible. I don't think Bungie sat down and said 'sorry guys, But the Space magic, Time traveling robots and Hive gods have to go, they're too unrealistic.'
-
3 RepliesJust freeze the gas idiot
-
the necro
-
The drednaught basically is on Saturn or orbiting it
-
5 Replieswell if the traveler can taraform mars im sure it could do the same ti them
-
Well there is the drednaght orbiting Saturn

Edited by CookieNiki: 9/12/2015 1:07:38 PMYou play in the moon without any effect of the low gravity. It's a game, everything can be playable if developers decide so.
-
4 Repliesmaybe you know... flying citys? like in star wars?
-
Here's why it'll be playable.
It's a game
-
2 RepliesJupiter and Saturn could potentially be playable. Here's why.... Space magic. seriously though, there could be space stations, ships, asteroids, moons etc...
-
1 ReplySaturn is part ice and part has ocean
