A week ago today my PS3 hit me hard. She went ylod. Sad to say, I won't be able to replace until the Friday after Destiny launch! I won't be there on day one with you!
I made a few friends during the beta and I was looking forward to aging with them again, but sadly this won't be the case.
And to think I took off three days to play this game! I am heart broken, sad, and so upset!
Anyone want to donate for a worthy cause? i only need another $100 to get a new one lol! Just kidding. I'll see you all planet side soon!

Go to YouTube and look up PS3 reflow. It will show you step by step how to fix it. This was a problem with the 80gb fat generation. The only thing is unless you redo the solder it will happen again, but it should buy you time to play until you can replace it.

4 RepliesTrade it in at gamestop, get a gift card and buy one from another gamestop - you should get at least the 100 for the trade in just remember it "works fine" wink wink

3 RepliesWhy anyone is playing Destiny on a last gen console blows my mind. This game deserves to be experienced in glorious 1080. This is the game I bought my ps4 for.

And ylod of death is caused because gpu(or CPU? I can't remember) got overheated which melted solder then when it cooled there are breaks in solder so it can't connect to card so it doesn't work like i said the hard fix is called reballing it and the easy one is just heating them up to remelt the solder In a fixed way

You can temporarily fix it if u hve a heat gun, some thermal paste, and a screwdriver my old ps3 ylod the first time I fixed it lasted 4 months then I messed up second time so it lasted a week and third time it lasted about 6 months and then I bought a new one which of course broke a month ago luckily it was in 1 year warrent and sony just fixed it and is shipping it back

3 Repliesdisappointed to hear that man, but I'm a bit confused on what exactly happened to your ps3 cuz I've never owned one before
-
2 RepliesHang in there. The game is there forever after it's released
-
4 RepliesBuy a new ps3 from the store. Return it when your current ps3 gets back. That's what I did the last time my ps3 crapped out on me
-
3 RepliesJust order some thermal paste and pads. Only took me an hour. I'd do that, best place to order would be radio shack or Home Depot. It's definitely worth the effort. 100$ or 5$ ;)

1 ReplyEdited by Rice Farmer: 9/3/2014 7:00:58 PMIf you're looking to buy a PS3, you might as well replace it with a PS4. Hope you get it replaced as soon as you can though.
