Nobody evolved from monkeys.
I have heard many of you say this and I am getting sick of it. The theory of evolution does not state that we evolved from apes. It simply states that humans and apes have a common ancestor. This ancestor probably wasn't a monkey, but was apelike in nature. Just wanted to get that cleared up.

We evolved from primates. We still ARE Primates. We are the apes that walk. There's only a 2% difference in the DNA between Humans and Chimpanzees. We evolved from apes. Not likely any species of ape around today, but apes none the less. (Fun fact, a human being, male or female, has the same amount of hair as any other ape. Ours is just mostly composed of much more thin/fine "vellus hairs".) Indeed. We didn't come from apes. We still ARE apes.
