Yeah i loved venus. Remember you used to have a sort a large public event. Like vex sacrifices or something. And Dreadnaught was top tier. You land and there was that public event right in the landing zone with the giant ogres. And again i'd reiterate, Dreadnaught was a public space open to everyone that kept me playing and turned me back into a paying customer. I started Taken King skeptical and didn't buy it for weeks when FOMO finally kicked in. But free you could still land on the Dreadnaught explore, do that one public event. You could even farm it cause it would drop exotics. You could explore the whole ship and get like the 50 calcified fragments. Yeah i had to google what the name was. There was a game where you. had to like hit a bunch of buffs and jump across invisible bridges to unlock a previously locked chest. You could even participate in court of Oryx and get blue regular drops. You didn't get any quest progress or any Taken King drops but it was fun. Shoot i played that without the dlc for probably two months before i decided to buy Taken King. Mostly cause i think i wanted the throwing hammers super and i think that was the only way to get it.
