Is an auto rifle meta in PvP ever not terrible?
Mind numbingly yawnmaxxing boring gameplay, coupled with cheese hardlight 2.0 style exotic to rehash a terrible thumbless meta. Keep meta defiing exotic crutches to sell DLC to PvE players and keep them useless in PvP.

Edited by fried_chicken: 6/23/2024 4:40:39 AMI agree, but this is a PVE mainly game, with PVP as an alternative to it That being said some autos and some pulses (Red Death) are so easy to use that anyone can play PVP, which is probably the intent…anyone can get kills with Red Death, anyone… and alot of PVE mains camp in pvp with their pulses and autos, and use their abilities to the max, making the PVP player by nature annoyed to hell when their HC fight turns into an ugly team-shooting death over and over again Turn your brain off in PVP, no one cares anymore to improve it, this game isn’t a true PVP competitive game, other than trials…quickplay is a messy goob of fun and frustration

I was surprised when I was being picked off by auto rifles at what I thought was near the max range of my pulse rifle. At least until I pulled out my old Black Armory Galliard. It melts from silly range. The problem with auto rifles isn’t auto rifles, it’s SMG’s. Once they introduced them into the game auto rifles were suddenly squeezed. SMG’s have gotten more lethal over longer range. So, auto rifles have too to differentiate them. Now they have pulse rifle range and the stability to make them effective. They are just good. They are always on the edge of meta. One comes along like Khovostov and it’s instantly the boss.
