Hand Cannons need a nerf
Exactly what this title says, the sweats can come at me idc but the hand cannons dominating PVP gotta go.

I think precision weapons (like hand cannons, snipers, etc.) whose TTK relies on hitting crits, should be the best. Bullet hoses should not be able to hang against skilled players using the former. Those have their place, and that is for people with worse aim to maintain some sense of utility.

15 RepliesThey already lack the range and/or TTK of other weapon types. It is just a thing about skillgap. A bot with trash movement and trash positioning will lose every fight while using a handcannon, because its strength lies with peekshotting, doing significant damage without having to stay out of cover the entire time. Every sandbox has stuff better suited for better players and stuff better suited for worse players. You will still get clapped by the better ones when you force them to use sth else by making handcannons completely unusable.

One last pull for Bungie to bring as many people back as possible . Hand cannons are bungies life line . HC’s have always been top tier but now there are so many . All I’m seeing is rose , Lina, crimson and ace . I wonder why 😂

5 RepliesI’ve been using hand cannons and they’ve been both very frustrating at times and then very fun at times. But I put on an auto rifle or pulse and pvp becomes easier. That’s the truth of it and I’m not a great player. This is why I don’t understand how they’re called noob weapons. Big hit boxes don’t always mean the bullets will hit on the head. I’ve had crits count as body shots. And you know what happens when you get a body shot, just one body shot? That’s equivalent to just outright missing. The duel is over unless your opponent misses his shots too or is a Tommy no thumbs. And the way this matchmaking is I’m not up against players with no thumbs. One body shot means I’m dead. One miss means I’m definitely dead. Put on a pulse or an auto rifle and it’s smooth sailing. If a bullet misses or hits the body just keep holding down the trigger and the rest will hit.

11 RepliesI hate pvp but I think hand cannons or one of the most balanced weapons rn because they require skill to constantly land headshots and if you miss even one your greatly punished as literally anything can kill you faster than a hand cannon would unless your opponent has potato aim

Usually you can tell when you look at their in depth stats and their are surges in their overall accuracy or just an unrealistic accuracy overall. Hand cannons are the easiest thing to abuse with cheat software due to their effectiveness at almost all ranges, high aim assist and basic recoil and flinch patterns so its easy to hide. Sadly once a game is breached by these cheat softwares its open season and theirs never really any getting rid of them without a hard crack down. Beyond that im sick of the Coditional Finality + 140 HC/Summoner copy paste loadouts. Not even in the sense of "wahhhh op! Pls nerf!" More in the sense I find it dull and boring, in the "Ugh this loadout again for the 50th time" Now what would be cool to see is a buff to 720 autos, 390 pulses, and 120 scouts. If they'd nerf handcannons it be specific ones like Rose, Luna and a few others and it be hits to behind the stage things like firing, flinch, recoil patterns. Bloom, etc.

14 RepliesIts a .87 ttk for 140s and a entire 1 second for 120s. I am fairly sure every other primary in the game has faster or equal to ttk. Name me one primary thats has a worse ttk then a 120 HC.

3 RepliesGonna have to be that guy. Handcannons are the poster weapon of Destiny, they're also thee most balanced of all the weapons in the game. Surprised they're dominating PvP though.......considering we've got plenty of more absurdities outdoing them.
