We, the Destiny 2 community, are petitioning for unrestricted access to the Destiny 2 Content Vault. With respect to the game size and storage, we propose a solution that allows players to choose the content, and vaulted sub-content they wish to download and play.
-
While I voted to destroy the vault, I think we all know it's not feasible
-
I agree the game is so large that the vault needs serious work done. At this point i wonder if the vault is going to be fixed or only increased again... or destroyed to make some kinda endless infinity pocket for storage
-
They didnt even need to hide there face just robbed us hahahahaha just give us back the old stuff sure it be easy but its what we paid for.
-
I wrote Bungie about this on Twitter. 😤

You know there is no content vault right? They changed the game lighting engine and needed to update all assets for it. The vault is just a term they used for the content that exists in the old engine. It’s not compatible.
-
Edited by AppleSoda: 3/28/2024 8:58:46 PMMy understanding is the old content is fundamentally not compatible with the game currently. They did a major engine update around that time and chose to trim the fat, knowing that if they didn’t they’d have to update tons of assets hardly anyone cares about which would probably have taken another year minimum. I think them being more liberal with bringing stuff back would be nice but I don’t think bringing literally everything back is necessary. I think strikes, raids, and exotic missions are number 1 priority and after that, only bringing back locations/campaigns if they have a good reason to invest the time.

They problem is, the game can't handle that much data. D2 would be like 300gb harddrive space at this point. And while I would really like all content, it would make the game really slow imo. I might be wrong though, I am no technician
-
You don't speak for me.
-
I voted for the top one solely cos these petitions are stupid so why bother with a serious answer
-
Why are we acting like the middle option IS an option...? It's not.
-
There are file sizes you simply can't get around, i.e., gun and armor models. They can be rather beefy. This also assumes that given bungie said yes to unvault all content, it could take well over a year to roll it out with the massive reworks to terrain that needed take place during the engine shift in beyond light. This isn't a matter of upscaling. Every area reintroduced is rebuilt from the ground up, which sounds odd, but it is more unfortunate to get the content back. Optional content downloads could work but that would also mean bungie needs to support multiple versions of the same game and can't allow for large amounts of overlap between dlc and base content which there is. Don't get me wrong, I want the content back, it just doesn't seem realistic when I prefer to get new content.
-
Edited by Mark, Scholar of Stars: 3/28/2024 9:02:47 AMIt should be possible to create optional downloads of that content (Edit: locations etc.), and also give people their missing ornaments from passes they couldn't finish.
-
The only Vaulted content I care about is the raids. Maybe menagerie but not for the loot
-
Take my content away from me 😏
-
Honestly I would be happy to have a Destiny 2 Legacy version, as a separately playable game for vaulted content. None of your gear earned in the regular game is transferable between them (play with a limited vault of only legacy weapons) and wouldn't even need online access. Or make that the Free to Play version.

Edited by NotCreative123: 3/27/2024 9:11:57 PMThe issue is all the bugs and glitches that can come up. The more activities you have => the more likely bugs / glitches will arise with an update => the more time / money spent on troubleshooting => the less money you have to spend on NEW activities I prefer NEW to OLD ESPECIALLY when it comes to content you only want to play once or twice, like Campaign missions

Helping My Team Is Always TOP Priority. - old
Add a CoD style option, you choose what content you want on your SSD and download it to enjoy anytime. All the Latest content remains mandatory (installed) until it becomes obsolete (outdated). Also, in the options tab, make it so you can choose to either load everything upon signing in, or just the latest content so that you can login faster and not have a long boot up screen. -
Edited by ELDER31674: 3/27/2024 7:56:22 PMBungie be like yeah (No)!
-
All the non seasonal content and planets should return
-
Can we add to the “I want all content tab” I want the game to be a terabyte
-
A poll is pointless as its not like anyone wants content to be removed from them it was bungies decision not the players…
