If you are enjoying the crappy changes to PvP which nobody asked for, play and enjoy the game. If you hate it and you are having a match that is unenjoyable, quit the game, you got a 30 min suspension, wait it out on a different game. Send a message to Bungie through the stats. They only care about money and what their bosses at Sony say since it might eventually cause them their jobs.
Fewer players, bad experience, not an enjoyable change for you, quit the match even if it ruins the experience for others. This is a video game. You are not responsible to provide an enjoyable experience for others, Bungie is. They get the money, we pay it. You are not enjoying it, don't be bullied by Bungo into staying in a match.
By the way, Final Shape will be worse even if they say it will be the best. History with them tells us that they care about money and not their players.
Game is in a horrible state in PvP. Auto Rifles, cheaters with input mod peripheral devices and reduced body damage for precision weapons while an auto like ammit (and many more) get headshots for free with barely aiming and when they get a body shot it's insanely forgiving and the extra health on guardians ruined PvP. All they needed was to switch it to regular Checkmate and nerf bows a bit. I was a bow player and I knew they needed a nerf in Checkmate withiut snipers to counter them. However, everything else was extra and nobody asked for it. They should have tested all those changes on a Labs game mode before implementing it.
Once again, if you enjoy your match and the game, stay in it. However, if you want to quit the match, QUIT IT! It's a game, not a competitive sport or a group project where people's wellbeing depends on you doing your part. Time is limited, and staying in a match that you hate just to not get a suspension is manipulative. Let them fix their game or have their numbers go down. There are other games out there.

4 RepliesDidnt they say that for every single expansion? "Will be the best time for destiny ever" "brightest days are ahead" If you still believe these blatant lies after Beyond light and lightfall, its on you. Destinys brightest days were 6 years ago and will never come back. The game is written off and is pretty much going to be put to sleep slowly after FS.

1 ReplyI got bored reading after two paragraphs as your mentality is if you don’t like it don’t do it so I’m not. GET GOOD BOT.
-
95 RepliesIf you don’t enjoy PvP, don’t enter PvP matches in the first place. Quitting can ruin matches for other people. You have a responsibility too (not just Bungie).
-
2 RepliesI dunno if it really matters. I see people in the forums mad when their teammates suck anyway. Does the loss feel different when teamed with bad people who stay vs bad people who quit? When my teammates quit I’m usually annoyed that I’m suffering alone I guess 😂. But the end result is the same.

Sounds scummy but I can relate.

For me it's not sandbox changes that bother me. It's the terrible lag in pvp. Most of my pvp time in D2 I always played as aggressively as I could and still break even. Ever since cross play was instituted and solo que was taken away I get nothing but latency every pvp match. Pve is fine, but pvp might as well be matching me with people on the moon. I can use cover properly, have over shields, use meta guns, stick with my team, try to flank, etc... nothing works. I haven't had one good game this week. Bungie needs to walk back cross play and bring back solo que. This is impossible, and I'd bet it's why most people just aren't playing anymore.

1 ReplyThere should be a matchmaking for habitual quiters and cheaters. You are all free to do what you want. But if you're gonna make the decision to impact other people's experiences regularly, you all can ruin it for each other and leave people who want to actually play the game out of it.

I do it sometimes but only because of the unhealthy matchmaking. They are just not good at PvP.
-
2 RepliesThis is where Bungie is at now. They are really bad at PvP. I imagine marathon will suffer from the same things. No thanks

1 ReplyEdited by Joulevette12: 3/16/2024 9:14:08 PMI'm enjoying it but I'm not gonna lie about the changes I've noticed a huge increase in a certain SOFTWARE to the point it's obvious just because you have no skill
-
It's amazing how much you play this game, but don't get better.
-
I want you to know that I tried really hard to also score 3 points in that one match.

22 RepliesYou and people like you are grown adults acting like toddlers throwing temper tantrums over a game. You sound pathetic like a little coward (p)

5 RepliesIf it’s that bad, don’t play it at all. Why waste time and other players’ time if you don’t like the game. That’s like eating at a very bad restaurant quitting and only to return again later. What’s the point to drown in misery and make everyone else miserable too? That would be a waste of time and money when you can invest it elsewhere for a better experience.

5 RepliesI just quit three Trials games in a row, spacing them out to avoid hitting the same team repeatedly. I totally agree with you – it takes courage to voice this opinion. Constantly getting stomped isn't fun for anyone. People who insist "I never leave a game..." actually make it worse! When you stay on a losing team, it drags the match out and gives your teammates false hope. Do them a favor and take the 30-minute ban. It gives you a chance to cool down and ask yourself, "Do I even want to keep playing?" Bungie's ban system has hurt Trials. I used to just keep playing, even after bad games. Now, a couple of losses means a 30-minute ban, and that forces me to step away and realize it's not worth the frustration. It's healthier for me to quit when it stops being fun, rather than just stewing in anger during my relaxation time.

Most of my teammates seem to be taking your advice. I sense a lot of frustration boiling over.

1 ReplyYou clowns should be perma banned IMO.

Edited by Magiscene: 3/15/2024 6:51:07 PMWay ahead of you. I don’t like the pvp changes so I quit pvp entirely and in doing so half the game was killed for me since most of my time was spent grinding for pvp rolls. No point grinding for special weapon rolls when you can barely use them in pvp.

Way better indie games out there right now to play. A break might do some people some good.

4 RepliesThats the most selfish take I have ever heard. Smh
-
A good take from a mind that is not plagued. He is not wrong people. Do what makes you happy. If you aren't enjoying a match, or a game in general, leave. Don't let Bungie make you feel bad for doing something that was causing you mental distress in an activity (this being playing games) that is supposed to be about entertaining you.
-
3 RepliesYour not wrong and I question the mental health of the people who disagree with you If bumgo was a good company, keep in mind they are not, a forfeit option should have been available a long time ago, not to mention the plethora of other problems this games pvp has, it's not considered one of the worse pvp experience for no reason, and to think bumgo is trying to create another pvp game, when they can't get the one they have working right Everything they do just makes things go from bad to worse, que resent updates are not as good as those that support it say, D1, forsaken and season 15 was the only time pvp was even close to being okay, these updates are a giant leap back, and will kill off even more of the player base

Edited by olmertri2: 3/15/2024 9:32:13 PMAgreed, stay in a 15 min match that stresses you out or quit and take a 30 min breather or do something else you enjoy about the game. The latter is much better for your mental health. I for one, for a refund on final shape. I thought the hover board were gonna bring me back, but no. However, I recent asked my ai what bungie does to cheaters. A few weeks ago they banned 600+. They ban cheaters even though it doesn't seem like it. That, I thought was pretty decent of them. However this game has been going downhill like a bad stock. Some ups but mostly down. So I say, -blam!- you bungie and -blam!- your shitty game. Whoever is in charge of the changes is a dipshit. -blam!- you!!! Edit: ik my grammar is bad, have fun with that
