Take a break for a bit , it feels so much better
I've been off for nearly two weeks...

4 RepliesOr better yet, just don't main this game like in the past. Stop doing mindless grinds of vanguard strikes, grinding raids etc. Frankly, I'm amazed that there are so many players out there who still play this exclusively. I've talked to a lot of players who play nothing else, and play this game for 6 or more hours every day. Imagine doing the unimaginable... For me, I haven't touched my warlock or titan in over a year or more, and just play crucible once or twice a week, play through the season's storyline, then go play other games. I won't be purchasing the final expansion either, on day one. I'll likely watch it on youtube, and maybe pick it up with a deep sale. This game is so over.

3 RepliesNo doubt totally agree lag is killing the game literally looking at my elo from season 15 to now is night and day just getting worse we need ccbm back
-
5 RepliesI struggled through the story legend solo until the final fight. Cheesed that. Neomuna was a slog. After reaching 1800 it isn't so tedious but I still only play a couple times a week. Pinnacles and family time Sundays. I like but I don't play for hours everyday anymore. My point? I didn't realize how much I was neglecting to run the Seraph mission multiple times. It was so cool. In the last 3 weeks I have gotten a lot done AND taken up kayak fishing. I only wish I hadn't bought a PS5 and edge controller just for Lightfall. Life is good with/without D2.
-
just uninstalled after getting a 30 minute ban I cannot be bothered being forced to play shitty stomp lag matches in case i get a ban i welcome the break.
-
100% agree. I take pauses now and then from D2 when I don't enjoy a Season, or maybe when there are too many bugs/problems, or when a specific META is too oppressive for me to enjoy PvP so I have to wait Bungie to fix/nerf things.
-
Taking a break doesn’t really work for me anymore. The bugs and DCs still exists even when i have a break. I get your point but once the game becomes stale it never get much better after that. Id say have a break and if you still feel like you’re not enjoying quit and play other games

6 RepliesMeh took a break for a week off an on last 2 weeks or so. Game still feels meh after lightcap

5 RepliesEdited by MattTheBelieber: 4/17/2023 2:12:11 PMTaking a break doesn't fix the issues with the actual quality of the content itself. Also, why is there always one smart -blam!- posting on the feedback forums negatively about people giving feedback? This is the place for criticism. Don't blame the customer automatically for Bungie's work, or lack of. Light fall has been recieved horribly from casuals to news writers to streamers to even my dog hates Lightfall. Every single DLC Bungie has hyped the -blam!- out of the story Incoming. Example is Witch Queen. They were all like "how did Savathun steal the light? we gotta find out!". Lightfall was the first ViDoc in 9 years that had the majority of the talking about a subclass. Beyond Light had new subclasses but the talk about stasis versus how hard they hyped strand instead of the story itself, is night and day. Why do I mention this? Cause Strand is all they had to hype and the 2-3% of the talk about Lightfall's story is cause it sucks and blaming us saying it is our fault cause we are just burnt out is delusional. We got a DLC with a story that is literally a subclass tutorial with errands too. Server issues like never before, with mass outages and tons of emergency maintenance. Such bad ideas that alot of them are being removed or changed (like Difficulty changes being reversed) because Bungie both messed up with the changes, and cause the content/changes sucks and they are trying to please the many people that are angry.

I just came back from a year+ break and it's already irking my nerves. A single smg overpowers everything, ability spam seems worse, and unbalanced MM that has plagued the game since release. The pve grind is the same, play the same thing over and over and over for a worthless engram. At least I can enjoy Wo Long and Elden Ring. Maybe one day Destiny will feel fun again.
-
16 RepliesFunny part is, if you stop playing for 2+ weeks, you will soon realize that you don't miss playing at all and that the entire game felt like a second job. The game in its current state is not enjoyable at all. That's a fact. Everyone who disagrees is either new to the game or trapped running the hamster wheel. You play out of habit, not because D2 is fun.

1 ReplyWhen the servers work, it's still my favorite game. Love the teamwork, gunplay, and pacing of PVP

Two yrs

It has been a little while for me and I don't know if I'm coming back after watching a recent video of what the director said. But that is my choice to come and go as I please, and right now, the forum is way more interesting than the game. (If you are not enjoying the game, taking a break is not going to change anything at all because the reason you took a break isn't going to magically fix itself,) and this business is most definitely not trying to fix/improve the game, let alone improve the players experience. They plan on making things worse than they are now as I suspected.

4 RepliesMonster Hunter Rise, playing through Hogwarts, Remnant, Elden Ring, so many games out there. The way D2 is designed it makes logging in a job sometimes. It’s a fun game, but the upkeep is simply stupid.
-
This shouldn’t be a hard thing for players to do
-
Blam this, blam you
-
Picked up Elden Ring about 2 weeks ago and loving the break
-
Agreed. I've been on every so often to check if the frame rate has been updated so it isnt stuck at 20 fps but that's more or less it.
-
2 RepliesHave you though? Because sitting around frequenting the forums is not taking a break from Destiny, lol. Some of you are so desperate for attention.
-
Same I haven't played like at all in a while I've hopped on just to see the weekly reset or if banshee/xur are selling anything good
-
I haven’t touched it since last season. Every time I get fomo I hop on here and it’s gone.
-
2 RepliesEdited by Azoths_Gambit: 4/18/2023 1:26:13 AMI'm not enjoying this forum. It's grown too toxic. Can I take a few off from it? The game however I've very few issues with. I'd play more if my controller wasn't broke.
-
I take off from destiny THE MOMENT I feel it's not fun. And it helps a lot. So many games out there.
-
I stopped playing for 2 years just before beyond light. Came back for a bit since September but already bored again
-
For me, it did the exact opposite. I played Elden Ring, had the time of my life. It showed me that Destiny 2 was not fun for me, at least most of the time. Yeah, both games have times when you will not have fun and it will be a grind. But at the end of a big boss, when you finally win, you feel such accomplishment. Something not mirrored in Destiny 2, despite the much larger portion of gameplay that is stale, boring and repetitive. So when I went back, I dipped my toe back in, and immediately left because of how I realize that most of the time I played it, it was not fun, as other games have been for me

For a live service game, the first thing on the list is keeping players as long as possible so players leaving because the game is unenjoyable is a red flag So yes, let's take a very long break from playing and paying, at least Sony would smack them into shape
