Hundreds of builds have been flushed with this update, and I’m so depressed. Please revert these changes. You’ve taken so much life out of the game.

Sounds like a skill issue to me, guardian.

It's still pretty early but there's some builds starting to be put together. I really don't mind if builds are treated cyclically like other things because the busted build thing last year did somewhat start to suck some of the air out of the room when it came to some of the other things the game should also have as a focus. It's not a big deal because the game hasn't always been as build crafty as it became relatively recently. So just like when a lot of other new systems get added it got more of a focus last year and it seems like some people got so used to finding the busted build and then doing whatever with it that they started to think that's all the game has ever been. The good news is that there is most likely going to be plenty of busted builds this year but if it was just a repeat of last year with no refinement then it wouldn't be as cool and meaningful. I don't see what is basically a reset as a regression, it's actually progress by refining the approach to builds that started with stasis.

8 RepliesEdited by Dark Tekka Zero: 3/2/2023 11:47:07 PMI think build crafting sucked last year, this year blow that out the water, anything people put together bungie will just nerf it anyway. LOL I just wanted post so if you reply to me you are going to get a random chuck norris fact. Oh, I replied by edit, lets start this off. Chuck Norris doesn't read books. He stares them down until he gets the information he wants.

Sunset buildcrafting? Talk about hyperbole. The builds that were "killed" were the ones that relied on things like Powerful Friends for stats. That's not a build, that's just pumping up your stats. That said, there was a certain charm of seeing the wells and stuff pop out of an enemy when you killed them. Am I 100% sold on the armor charge system? Not really, but the majority of my recent playtime hasn't been spent buildcrafting and learning the new stuff. If you're an ability spammer kinda person, it's so incredibly easy to have constant uptime on all of your abilities without need for exotics now. And if it matters at all, I had a ton of builds saved on DIM and used them frequently. I spent a lot of time learning that last system.

21 RepliesEdited by NotCreative123: 3/2/2023 3:38:10 PMI get to run two targeting mods now. Plus, I can run 3 auto-loader mods. Plus, all the mods cost the same, so I can swap between HC and Scout no problem. I really like the changes for PvP And on top of that, I'm not being forced to use Radiant Light, Powerful Friends or Quick Charge. Those were gimmicky mods that were too strong not so use, and I'm glad they were nerfed. Plus, as a result of the changes, Ability Spam isn't nearly as much of a problem in PvP! It's very refreshing
