I was wondering if anyone has a similar experience while playing Destiny. Specifically, it's whenever I'm anywhere near the edge of a long drop, thus making most jumping puzzles a terrifying experience. (I recently attempted the Spire dungeon, and gaaahhh it was a nightmare.)
If you're out there, may I ask if you have any techniques to get through it? Of course if I were king dev for a day, I'd just make an accessibility feature that creates the illusion of a floor on all jumping puzzles. 😋

Acro’s not around much anymore. It shouldn’t be too hard to avoid him.

You will desensitize yourself or get bored enough to realize being afraid of heights in video games is irrational to the point that you conquer it. Using mods or development tricks seems like a way to allow you to seek comfort in your fear which is counter productive and a disturbing trend among the youth.

1 ReplyOnly thing I can think of to help is to try jumping from heights in games that have poor graphics, such as Minecraft. This way, it won’t seem as immersive or realistic theoretically helping to push you beyond that fear. Then, slowly make the jumping height higher and higher. If you start to get comfortable, try a more realistic game. It’s all about small steps, no pun intended
