Can we have Daybreak be replaced with the Radiance super from D1 Sunsinger?
With the changes to Dawnblade, that super has been greatly reduced to crap, like it was in Y1. It was always a bad Super, but it had at least some use with Dawn Chorus and Everlasting Fire. Without those, it's not really good for anything anymore.
It would be great if they could bring back Radiance from Sunsinger, along with either Radiant Skin or Song of Flame. Being able to throw 12 Solar Grenades would be way more useful than Daybreak.
Edit: okay, so I guess I gotta add this because some people still think Sunsinger=self rez. I [b]DO NOT[/b] WANT SELF REZ BACK. ONLY RADIANCE WITH EITHER RADIANT SKIN OR SONG OF FLAME. STOP ASSUMING.

They made the story drain way to quick. And the same is meh now. It should be the lowest tier of super Oh, and making Super TIERS was idiotic. I liked having all sorts be roughly 5 minutes. Not 10 for a couple.

2 RepliesEhy Guardian. While I loved Radiance back in D1, I don't think that bring it back replacing Daybreak would be a good idea. Radiance had its own charm and back in D1 I was all for it, but it is definetely not that great compared to Daybreak. Being able to spam Grenades for tot seconds definetely can't be compared with being able to fly around, air dashing and swinging a flaming sword that casts flaming projectiles. I know that Sunsinger also had other effects like increasing damage resistance or accellerate Abilities cooldowns for nearby allies, but the main problem persists. From what I've heard and read, it seems that Daybreak could use a simple good, old fashioned buff. At least in PvE. I can't say this for sure 'cos I don't play Warlock that much, so this is based on what I read on the Forums. A possible idea could be to add Radiance as a third option for Dawnblade Supers. However, if it was Bungie intention to do such a thing, ti would've happend with Solar 3.0. I think this is the definitve confirm that Bungie get rid of Radiance once and for all.

Considering we already have like 2 exotics specific to dawnblade that allow you to spam grenades I feel like radiance would be kind of pointless

Radiance was fun, I know for sure players will assume you are talking about self rez. Everyone forgets the super doesn’t need self rez, it was a really good super all on its own. Being able to run around with infinite grenades and one shot melee’s was awesome. Its like my warlock would go super saiyan. It would also regenerate grenade energy for any nearby allies so everyone would spam grenades. I do miss radiance not gonna lie, I doubt it could ever come back though. Bungie needs to buff dawnblade and remove this super tier BS. Everyone is running around with low cool down supers, by the time you even get a roaming super you will get shut down instantly by players using one and done supers. Supers that they can spam more than once per game compared to roaming supers.

2 RepliesThat’d be cool. Radiant Song - Solar Warlock Super - Empower yourself and overflow with radiant solar light. Gain increased damage resistance and ability regeneration. Nearby Allies regenerate ability energy at an accelerated rate. 30% damage resist, 12s duration, 1s grenade cooldown and 3s melee cooldown for user. 5x ability recharge rate for allies within 12m. Replaces your solar melee charge with a close range melee that cleaves through targets, knocks enemies back and applies 90 scorch on hit. (Looks like a slash with your Dawnblade sword). Just my thought of how they could update it. Removed the 1-shot melee in exchange for a lot more support power and a crowd control melee.

My friend's been complain about it for a while. He doesn't want Radiance back, he just want a shutdown super for solar. He's been a warlock main since d1. So used to ttd he can't play without icarus. Really hope they bring more shutdown supers because roaming supers just aren't fun anymore.

I think it would be brilliant as a third super option, honestly. I would love it.

Without self-res, Radiance in its original form is pointless. Warlocks can boost ability regen and survivability without having to blow their super. Radiance would have to be changed to actually fit into the D2 environment, but at that point, it just stops being Radiance and becomes something else entirely.

I would just prefer radiance as another super option and them just slap on everlasting flame on daybreak.

This is something that bothered me the most this season was the references to Sunsinger; it was kinda like buying a album named after a particular song but the song wasn’t actually in the album. Although I would adore bungie for bringing back some form of radiance, they’d probably do it for solstice or season 19. In all honesty I scarcely doubt that we’ll see anything beyond basic adjustments or maybe new fragments or aspects until after Final Shape. But here’s to hoping!

Hate to break this to ya but self-rez(reworked version) is coming back. Go read the firefright lore. We can already spam nades(Starfire) so why add another way to do it.

I greatly enjoy Radiance. Song of Flame was very entertaining.
