And they force you to use certain weapons because of champion mods. They also make you grind for something good just nerf it later lol

Same, I realized all I wanted was for Destiny 2 to be a better version of Destiny 1, somehow they lost all the magic that made D1 special. Just tired of the same old thing! Im really enjoying playing other games so im glad it knocked that, I have to play Destiny fomo thing out of my head.

Yeah, I've scaled my play way back this season. Everything feels like it's falling apart in this game. Everybody's cheesing everything. Nobody does full raids anymore to have fun. They CP farm for one weapon. Warlocks new solar identity is add clear, and non warlock mains keep gunking up the conversation like it's not that, but it is. The seasonal challenges feel so much worse than they ever have. 100 rounds of containment, open 100 chests, kill 100 people in crucible. The "get two resets to unlock ornaments" is awful to do. Woot, I get to lose 5 consecutive Gambit games getting add kills with *checks notes* trace rifles? Uuugggghhhhhh. When I LFG for actually hard activities, CP farmers treat me like a streamer raffle and want a free carry through it despite not knowing ANY of the mechanics except in the one encounter they farm. Like, it's a master raid, you should be a master at it before attempting one. I've made it a mission to get to 1000 full raid clears (I'm in the 920s right now) and then likely retire myself. Master raids aren't fun (everyone I've talked to wants the old system back where we have permanent challenges, weekly challenges, and a flawless run). I've done 2 seals that require master raids and I've been as high as top 360 in speed ranking, I have nothing left to prove in terms of being a good player. The only reason I've stuck around this long is because the storytelling got better on a season by season basis, but even this season is yet another "daddy issues" story arc. First Ana Bray with Zavala (Warmind dlc), then Elsie with Clovis Bray (beyond Light), and now Caitl with Calus. Like ffs, would that writer please go to therapy for their own sake and ours? I'm so sick and tired of "daddy man bad" storylines. I've been playing other games and the communities around those games are so much nicer than this one. I'm a noob in FF14, and like 99% of players are chill while I figure the game out. In D2, a similarly experienced player would be told to get gud and they should appreciate being hard carried but never taught anything or that they deserve to be mowed down in PvP. Like, tbh, I hate it here. The people suck, the stories are just projections of the writer's personal problems, and every rework has madey class less fun to play, to a point where I'm constantly asked why I play warlock when Hunter/titan are so much better. 1000 raids, and then I'm outta here.

Good decision. Actions speak louder than words. If theres a massive decline in player numbers, theres atleast a tiny tiny chance that things might change atleast a little bit. If everyone just keeps eating their bs up and praises their awesome "content" even tho it's beyond garbage rn, nothing will change.

I didn't buy 30th, WQ or anything after. From D1 beta to then I'd bought every expansion. I may dip back in occasionally for free events - I played at the start of this season to get Iron Lord- but I am full free to play now. Will probably end the season at rank 40 (purely from IB slog and accidental seasonal challenges). I am so much happier, as is my wife. I can't believe how little I missed it. I should have stopped when the fun stopped and that was several years ago.

It's always been the same, like you said, because that's "economical" - same mapping, same gear, same event, it has only another shader. I haven't uninstalled it yet, but I did not even finish the final mission of this season. I play something else, I bought other games and I see how "refreshing" it is. And Destiny (2) could be same - but not with Bungie's drawer mentality. I think the next season will not be different. Maybe we are too discerning, or maybe Bungie's too undiscerning... because they don't have to, because it's all in their drawers, waiting to be recycled.

Unfortunately nothing will change with this current iterations of D2. Expansion, Season, Horde mode, rinse n repeat. Bungo has a model that apparently working for them as a business and some of us fall for their crap.

They have a new manager and new director for this game and yet nothing is getting better. They keep pumping out the same recycled junk over and over!😂😂😂 These guys are so desperate they are milking the same old, skinny, dying cow!😂😂😂 It’s good to know you’ve quit the game! There is nothing here. And it ain’t getting better. One thing is happening though, they’ve become the king of recycling! 😂😂😂 You see guardians, I see Hamsters! It’s a running game! I feel all this, i slowed WAAAAY down on playtime. I decided to actually reinstall older games that havent played, like the Mass Effect Collection. Ive %100 percented the first one now im at like %90 percent on 2. 110 hours in and im not missing destiny at all. Ill do what i usually do, log in for a day buy shaders and what not for the event and not play it at all.

It's kind of funny reading some of the replies on posts like this. It goes to show some don't want to face the truth that some of the things that you posted are a fact. I guess the truth hurts so let's try to make the post disappear?

I still enjoy playing the game but I understand what you mean. But with that said, you can say that about any game to say how it’s bad. Like, what’s the point of playing any games? To have fun right? If you have fun playing Destiny that’s all that really matter. Because then why play any video game whatsoever

Correct me if il hearing you wrong. You wanted to enjoy the loot, armor, exotics, gameplay as a whole, ect. But cosmetics kept you going? Your "trying" to leave the game, simple because a phoenix is on a piece of titan armor? That doesn't add up to me. I really wish i could understand that, but cosmetics does not equal gameplay. Every person I've ever known to quit the game, only quits for good if it's for irl reasons. Granted im not saying everybody inevitably comes back. There's still people who won't touch destiny because of curse of osiris. Just invest into anotger game for a bit until you can enjoy destiny again, should you enjoy destiny again. I do that all the time when im either out of content to play, or just not satisfied. The devil may cry franchise has treated me well when destiny couldn't. I do empathize with you on a lot of the gripes you have with destiny. Some seasons i feel that way, some i don't. It's ever changing, too much. Don't worry about if you agree, or disagree with me bud. All i ask is that whoever i talk to about destiny, understands what i try to say. Regardless of whatever this random stranger here on the internet tells you, take care.
