I really don’t care if they have to matchmake for 2 hours. The sheer volume of them that I face seems like that won’t even happen tbh.
Incredibly frustrating being mercied after 2 minutes, when individually I am often better than my opposition, but they are moving as a unit.
I am more than capable of using LFG. This is not a “woe is me and teammates are overrated” post. Pubstomping uncoordinated teams is dumb. I play quickplay to chill, not sweat.

34 RepliesThat's just absurd. You would punish people for playing with their friends? This ain't a solo player game. I'm saying this even though I generally play solo.
-
Technically an 'improvised' setup with their Shared Servers tier, could match even number (NOT skill-based) fireteams with the server halfway between each fireteam leader. But with each player not being near their respective fireteam leader; the advantage would be minimal. Keep in mind that Bungie has sworn to keep Shared Servers level and never to upgrade to Dedicated. They've even gotten a multi-billion dollar company like Sony to spend billions on that heavily skewed value metric; so don't expect miracles from such base greed.

2 RepliesHow about blueberries step up and help the team. Tired of seeing y’all respawning every 10 sec lol

Bungie only fold randoms and solos into these modes and against five stacks to make it easier for regulars…as a solo player jump into trials and see how many times you’re matched against a 5-stack - probably 100% of the time - yet the numbers state there are more solos than teams… Hmmmmm…
-
4 Repliesi'm totally with you.. if you can explain how a 5 player and 4 player and 3 player team shoudl be matchmade.
-
3 RepliesNope bring on the 6 stacks let’s see after what has it been 10 years? These idiot teammates can figure “oh me follow blue dot me win too” got steamrolled one match next match we mercied them same team same stack vs solo players. Team. Shot. It’s very simple you’re not montaging 6’s bro push with the squad 🙄
-
Freelance game modes but as a permanent playlist activity for all those solo players out there would be nice.
-
2 RepliesYou know what would happen if Bungie did this? Fireteams of 5... The problem you face will only be solved with solo quese for every playlist.
-
2 RepliesIn 6s, you’re an idiot. In comp, there’s freelance. In trials this week there is freelance. I agree that in trials freelance should be a thing every week, but outside of trials…
-
13 RepliesOne thing Ive noticed reading through the comments is that NOBODY wants to play against teams. Give us Freelance, Bungie.😆
-
7 RepliesAs much as I believe freelance would be the best case scenario I already know Bungie is too afraid to split their already split player base of players even further. Just saying if it works for iron banner and was an option in D1 why not give it a try at least for control. There will always be lords of the sweat but just saying forcing them to face the same teams over and over will just make them switch games because their fragile egos are unable to withstand the impact of a loss. I feel gross but to quote Hawthorne,”insecure men tend to surround themselves with more insecure men”. These people are fairly sad individuals and find their enjoyment stomping on others just like whoever finds enjoyment stomping on them in real life. To them that’s power especially since these kids or overgrown children have more than likely experienced some form of abuse that makes it so their only form of coping comes from being just like their abuser in a different setting. If people played for the enjoyment of trying new things and playing with others this wouldn’t be the case. Their enjoyment comes from making people feel like insects under the boot and farming them for something as meaningless as K/D which keeps them in a perpetual cycle, trapped whether they realize or not, of having to do the same thing season over season because it always resets to 0 eventually and if it wasn’t K/D or winning they simply wouldn’t be interested.

1 ReplyI don’t get it, bungie did it for halo 3 but not destiny
-
Funny play solo. Ez lol. Kids online are so petty
-
Bungie can't even fix basic matchmaking problems. No way in the world they'll implement a system to put stacked against stacked.
-
Edited by MojoGoneWild: 6/24/2022 8:46:50 AMI'm no longer interested in the ridiculous lack of matchmaking, just leave the match and fly to the next one, and repeat that until you find a suitable match, usually only every 4th-5th match is playable, whatever. Without halfway functioning matchmaking, all labs are absolutely worthless and uninteresting to try at all.
-
20 RepliesNo they shouldn't, if you only want to play other solos comp is up 24/7 and has freelance or head for rumble
-
14 RepliesImagine it having any friends to run crucible with… or imagine not having brain cells to use lfg
-
Ok I see what your saying, I am a solo player, I'm not one of those people who think solo players saved the game, but I do see your point, I have been mercsed (sorry can't spell) many time with a group of randoms while I matchmake as a solo, it's infuriating how that works, a group of either lfg group or random just running around as a unit and sweating is not fun to deal with.
-
4 RepliesI play to chill as well. I play in a team of max 3 people at most since I find 6 stacking boring as hell since as you confirmed, it only ends in mercies. However I do think its unreasonable to say they should wait 2 hours for one match in a social game at the core. And before the
we solo players saved the game
argument gets used over and over again like some did to feel like they are saints and we should worship the solo player like they are our gods. Everyone has priority. You the solo player as well as the people who play with friends. In no way should one group be lifted over the other

4 Replies"I cued into a team based game and had to face teams."

5 RepliesYou queue for a fight and a fight you get. Some you win some you lose.
-
Edited by LikwiD_SmOkE22: 6/24/2022 1:18:06 PMI wouldn't say stacks should only play stacks .. they shouldnt have to sweat every game because some people choose to play solo .. jump into the game with some friends and have fun If you play quickplay to chill than facing a 6 stack or 5 stack or 4 etc shouldn't matter. Just chill n shoot some ppl lol
-
2 RepliesThey could just show who’s in the lobby while matchmaking, so you know if you’re going to be playing a stack, but Bungie decided to hide that for some reason? I’m quite curious to know why when you can see the lobby in Iron Banner but not quickplay.
-
Is it just me that leaves instantly the minute the new map pops up?? I think 1 out of every ten games gets finished before the timer.

Edited by A_mo: 6/24/2022 3:34:21 AMYep. Time for people that got their stats like that from playing on teams to back up what they're always saying about how good they are. Control or some other daily mode should have freelance that doesn't take stats from playing on a team into account and the game should have two separate k/ds for playing stacked and playing solo. And the solo one should in no way be influenced by a person's lifetime k/d, from anywhere. Yes I know that would never happen. But if it did some people would be singing a different tune. As crazy as the idea I just put probably sounds that's exactly how ridiculous people sound to me when they talk about skill in this game.
-
13 RepliesI solo queue Control a lot and rarely run into full 6 stacks. When I do, I enjoy the challenge. If you're really there to chill, just chill.
