Title basically. I lived through the bullshit that was D1 as well as D2Y1 and it was awful. You'd see all these good guns or cool missions and have to wait a year to experience them. But im finally drawing my line in the sand. Playstations past of forcing exclusives for Destiny and their current history of stopping crossplay doesnt really sell me on your tweet about uniting friends around the world. I saw the FAQ btw still putting this out here.

Remember that Sony is not just video games... ...films, tv shows etc. The destiny universe is finally expanding.
-
Ok, we will miss you
-
Hopefully we get discounts 😅
-
Maybe a cool emblem would be cool
-
How does it ruin everything else that this amazing game has to offer you?

I'm still skeptical. Nobody spends 3.6 Bill for heresay and future ip's. Bungie only has one active ip at the moment and I've dumped a bunch of time and money into this franchise. I'm concerned. If not for D2 neary as much, whatever Destiny comes next I guess. As much as I like Bungie, they're a company looking to make a profit. So despite what they say, I don't believe them. I'm on Xbox, and I don't trust Microsoft, definitely don't trust Sony, and just wish I could see a bright future for everyone who loves this franchise. Sure, more money into content is a plus, but I just don't see things working evenly across the board.

Bungie and Sony have both said there wont be exclusive content of any kind - They joined the SIE program, which allows Bungie to keep their company under their own managment and crestive design. Sony just acts as a promotion and funding branch. Bungie will help produce game under Sony's name, but they will not be exclusive to the PSN network, as they have both said. Bungies goal is to get the community together under crossplay and for everyone to have the same D2 experience. Since they retain full control still, just with some 3.6B in funding, as well as an expanded team, that means the game will expand on fronts, and consoles. TL:DR - Sony and Bungie have said multiple times no exclusive content will be released, now, or ever, within Bungie title games. Bungie still has full creative/executive control of the Destiny franchise

Looks like you'll be done, Sony loves their exclusives.

2 RepliesWith content disappearing after 3-12 months, any exclusivity can't last to long. I do hope Sony invest in Destiny so we get more content, or even better Destiny 3 in a few years. No worries for a least a year they can't do anything bad, with Whichqueen + seasons as it already been sold to everyone.

6 RepliesAs a top level Sony Pony (fan).... Jim sent me to to tell you he is not going to do any major exclusives. Sony are cool and want to make games better, they are not scumbags like Microsoft who buy things to just take them off PlayStation.... see Starfield etc. If you want to buy a PS5, they are great value and have great exclusives already.... lots of cool people on the console and we would welcome you and be your brothers in gaming. <3

2 RepliesI’m looking forward to the God of War and Horizon zero dawn PS exclusive armor sets.
-
1 Reply*Microsoft buys up all the game companies and makes everything Microsoft exclusive* This kid: “that’s perfectly fine, I’m happy with that, it’s a good thing for the game and company” *sony does the same thing* This kid: “what is wrong with Sony, this is bullsh1t I hate companies that do this”
-
I'm sure that'll make an irreplaceable dent in the $3.6 billion Bungie just sold for.
-
ok goodbye

I could care less about who bought who . If bungie and PS want to go exclusive let'em . This not the only game I play . Who cares about what console folks play games on . Many years ago I traded in all of my PS stuff for Xbox . Why , they had the games I wanted to play . PS is still a good product . Having been part of both communities , let's put it this way they BOTH are knee deep in A holes . I think Sony would lose revenue by going exclusive , that's just my opinion not everyone's .

Did anyone notice in the news section that bungie announced the partnership twice and then they had the balls to make 2 announcements that had no real or impactful changes to anything talk about a waste of effort making a news form man.
-
5 RepliesAnyone ever think about this from the perspective of…. The company that made horizon, god of war, and ghost of Tsushima now has a vested interest in the success of destiny 2? This is a massive win. Amazing studio support could be something that happens. I’d love to see a dungeon or raid with the aid of Sonys studios. Just another way to look at this.
-
I’d prefer exclusives not be a thing but if they are, don’t make it a whole year, that’s just ridiculous.

1 ReplyI'm going to be optimistic for once about this game. Sony has resources that could help deliver an improved experience. I hope that PvP can be improved with new maps, lobby balancing and different game modes (objective based modes, big team battle modes). I hope that the story telling each season continues to improve and perhaps we can have more campaign type missions per season rather than more 6 player mindless activities that quickly become boring. I'm choosing to not be a negative -blam!- about this change. I played Destiny 1 on Xbox when PS got exclusive weapons maps and strikes- it wasn't that cool. But I think that Bungie and Sony know that this idea of a singular Bungie community that can play together (and all shop at Eververse lol) is what is going to make them the most money. Destiny movie or tv series of some description within 5 years is my bold prediction for other uses of this franchise due to this deal.

5 RepliesSony is literally the best thing that has to have happened to this game. They make sure their devs make good stuff
-
50 RepliesI think it’s Absolutely hilarious that all the Xbots are getting bent out of shape over what amounts to nothing. The game is not going to be exclusive in any way, it’s literally not in Bungie’s or Destiny’s interest to start all that again. I would point out though it wasn’t Sony that enforced the exclusives of the past, it was activision in their eagerness to get some coin from Sony that did that, I believe Microsoft were offered a similar deal but refused to pay. I do genuinely think this is going to be great for the game regardless of the platform you play on, I myself play on PC and PS5, I could be playing on my Series X as well but I have no reason to. However I won’t deny I derive a smidge of pleasure out of this news given the grief that has been thrown PlayStations way in recent weeks, it must be like a dagger to the heart of all those Xbots that used to bleat about bungie betraying xbox players
-
Well let's see what happens. Bungie is in far better hands with SIE than they would be with anyone else. They won't get re budgeted or crushed. Sony will let them play. What this is really about is Sony now having the best fps engine in gaming. So expect all Sony fps games to feel similar to destiny now
-
I saw the FAQ btw
Sooo, you just want some attention from people who cant read LOL Bungie already said multiple times everything through 2024 won't be exclusive. Pointless thread headass.
