Lol" Again simple........Bungie have outright ignored things that have needed heavily addressing in the past. So asking for further minor changes ruffles the salt in some peoples feathers. Look I get it having the choice would be awesome. But it would be awesome if bungie fixed the games long standing issues instead of adding miniscule changes right now.

Don't pay any attention to anyone coming up with excuses because that is all they ever do, the ones that say "no". IMO the only activities in this entire game that shouldn't have matchmaking are the raids and GM. Everything else should be a no-brainer. It's funny how they act as if having an option to choose to run with a team they create or randoms is "going to hurt them". Get real people 🤦‍♂️

The reason there is no matchmaking for it is simply because of locked loadouts Bungie apparently can’t program the game to match you with people with an appropriate loadout for the strike. That combined with champions and match game, makes it near impossible for a random team to complete it without leaving the game.

It shouldnt be necessary to be forced into a community of player populations. People should want to be a part of it, and if they dont its highly indicative of the culture being unattractive and discouraging, which is in itself worthy of reflection. My greatest argument is that players should be able to get the most utility from the systems in place, without impacting the pursuits of others, and it appears particularly that a population in the community is more concerned with denying people a tool they would not use because it doesnt encourage people to play the content the way they want it played. I have always believed, and still do, that the community is better than that. Having taken the opportunity to look around the forums, this kind of attitude is consistent across the forums. So maybe its just the forum community that is so caustic. Honestly I have run with tons of randoms and I would greatly rather have teammates with no mods then some of the attitudes of some of the more elitist driven egos that can be easily pulled out in the comments. I know that doesnt represent all "top tier" players, but it is widespread enpugh to be a pattern in the forums and again is worthy of reflection. I prefer no forced matchmaking for the 1300. Makes it a good place to farm bounties, as strike playlists are all matchmade. Like today, I needed 100 kills with machine gun to get Heir Apparent in strikes (daily feature playlist). So I loaded up the 1300 and got a platinum medal as well as heir apparent and was full on laurels by the end. I do think that there should be optional matchmaking though. 1300 is perfectly fine to complete with a team that does not have optimized loadouts, but has mods. Today I ran 4 1270, and 3 of the 4 we had over 100k, so definitely doable on this strike with matchmade teams if you move quick and kill everything, just dont melt Kargan too quick in boss room, spec out with an ad clear loadout and go at all the adds primarily in boss room until you get 100k.

I agree; the more customizable options are available to players, the more opportunities for great experiences for more players.
