6 RepliesLegendary Precision frames do the best in PvP. Have to learn to peek shot and stay far from combat. These are not run-and-gun weapons and you can’t really use them except in a passive playstyle.
-
3 RepliesBows are free. High damage. High aim assist. Pair well with 120s for quick access to rampage. Bows are a niche weapon that require practice. Just like fighting lion. Run fighting lion and a snipe and try to top frag. Is fighting lion weak?... Or are you just not well versed with it?

If you are on PC bows are pointless. Your smg is already and AR in there so use a pulse for the bow range on pc lol. But on console it’s actually useful.
-
Bows are fine, you just have to play to their strengths and adopt the appropriate playstyle.

Edited by Entity: 12/29/2020 2:55:24 PMAs a bow main I disagree even in trials people have no clue how to deal with them, no buffs to bows please last thing I'd want is my main Playstyle to become meta, hell its already being recognized by big streamers like frostbolt if you see his latest videos.

I got my ass whipped in Rumble by a player who mained a Bow. They can be wicked in the right hands.
-
What gets me is adding a primitive bow what there already existed a repeatable crossbow. He's an example of a cool one I've been looking at https://youtu.be/drQnaLXkifo Why not have these in Destiny instead?
-
Ok I keep getting mapped by the Lemon all the time I even use it sometimes if I’m in the mood to run two primaries

2 RepliesI find a competent bow player the most difficult style to play against especially those that run Le Monarque. They have my number.
-
Practice. They already have infinite range , they also have pretty high aim assist, however bungie has reduced their aim assist range since forsaken. Currently it's about 30ish meters. In pve they are great for high level strikes due to their high damage and range. They could use some more perks and bow specific perks.

10 RepliesBow headshot and a 120 hc shot anywhere. One of the most underrated combos in the game.
-
5 RepliesBows are a niche weapon that can see success with certain playstyles and I personally think this is fine as it separates them from the rest of the weapon classes in the game. Linear Fusion Rifles on the other hand are pointless.

A good player with a bow and handcannon is something to fear Especially thorn bow
-
You just described everything in the game.

5 RepliesEdited by TheArtist: 12/28/2020 1:13:30 PMBows are fine. The problem is the design of content. Bows are basically like a very powerful, slow-firing scout rifle. The problem is that almost none of the content in the game is designed for combat at long range. Everything has enemies that are attacking you at mid-range.....or rushing you and getting in your face at close range. Dragonfly, and other area of effect damage perks, help with this somewhat. But Bungie needs to stop designing the same fights over and over again....so that other types of weapons besides ARs and Hand cannons have a use and become viable. In PVP, you need to treat them like you would a sniper rifle. Pop from cover, shoot, get back in to cover. Or pair up with someone, and team shoot. But if they buffed bows anymore in PVP they'd be overpowered. You'd basically have a sniper rifle with infinite ammo....and none of the disadvantages that keep sniper rifles in check.

Maybe it’s just me but bows seemed to be more reliable during forsaken. I had fun with them even in pvp. However once shadowkeep was released bows to me didn’t seem all that great anymore. It’s probably because certain weapons have been toned up or down since then?

1 ReplyEdited by sadguy321: 12/28/2020 4:55:14 PMBows are great if you know how to use them. I main trinity ghoul .
talking about pve
My wish ender disagrees
-
I’m bout to get fired up, but I think they should one shot head shot like 60- resilience guardians.
Please don’t hurt me community
-
Bows are great if you actually know how to use them, and Le Monarque is a beast.
-
Bows can 1 shot most low tier ads that scout rifles need 2-3 shots to kill. Leviathan's Breath is a monster
-
Trinity Ghoul is pretty good in PvE. Quite bonkers in fact with the cat. LemonArch is a PvP-ers pick. I like ‘em.
-
3 RepliesEdited by Swiftlock: 12/28/2020 6:03:18 AMSounds like a you problem. Bows are actually quite good, especially Point of the Stag and Le Monarque. No buffs needed. You just need to focus more on team support and playing passively instead of trying to go Rambo on everything. Bows are not for dueling meta weapons head-on. They're for sneak attacks and cleaning up.
-
5 RepliesLiterally just got a ten kill streak with Le Monarque today in comp (for reference, I usually get about 3). Trinity ghoul with cat is one of the best weapons in the game. Just because you can’t use it doesn’t mean it’s bad.

Edited by Chookity-pok__: 12/28/2020 11:38:45 AMBows are outstanding. They one shot most ads; Two shot players; Will kill a player who has 2/3 of their shield with one shot; loads of ammo; Infinite range; Loads of aim assist and TG is hilerious in PVE. If you don't think they're good, you're not using them right.
