That’s an exotic weapon quest. You get an exotic weapons and its catalyst to upgrade it. These mission are normally harder than others as the reward is better than others.
Just wait until you do whisper of the worm or zero hour. Very unforgiving jumping puzzles and in these missions there is a time limit.
They do reward some of the best exotics in the game though. Would recommend watching a video. Gets confusing.

It does such and such damage”. Whoopdie Do. For a small amount of bullets. Ex Machina or 1000 Yard Stare is better because you can use a real exotic in your heavy slot

But those are d1 weapons? We're talking about d2, and in d2 it's still one of the best dps weapons. Sure it feels like you're running out of ammo faster than other snipers, but that's because you aren't reloading. It's got the same amount in reserves as any other snipe.
