Trials should be light level disabled.
It should be a test of skill not a test of how many bounties you can no life.
Do you agree or do you want unemployed streamers to have an unfair advantage?
Edit: Why do people think having LL enabled will stop cheaters (on PC. There are no cheats on console besides ddosing) ?
Do you think LL matters if the other guy is teleporting and invisible and invincible?
Do you think LL matter if you get ddos'ed flying in?
Lol
Its a weak argument made by unemployed guardians who want their mindless bounty grind to mean something in end game PvP. Move along.

I had a reply down below but figure I’ll put it as an comment to your post:
Idk if it’s mentioned but maybe meet in the middle and do a light requirement rather than an advantage. Like you can only enter Trials if you’re 970+ (that would be the new soft cap I presume). So it’s truly an endgame experience for PvP players to grind. This prevents 750 Smurfs like mentioned below and also prevents the super bounty sweats from steamrolling teams. I have a few friends on my friends list that are 1000+ like hello that’s absurd hours of bounty grinding. So yeah in all, make it 970 requirement, no advantage
Light level advantages should be disabled in Trials because the Khvostov should be usable and that's the important part.
-
Light level should be enabled, but capped at the current seasons max attainable power level. The artifacts boosted levels should be null void and not count towards anything in that playlist. In fact next season I don’t think the artifact should even contribute anything as we will be already so close if not at 1000 LL which is honestly stupid to be that high.
-
You can still level up even it's disable same with the artifact i don't know why everyone disagree with the idea.

5 RepliesAnd Randy’s Throwing knife should be nerfed into nothingness. Not gona happen

8 RepliesWhy not both? I don't understand why so many of you think it can only be one way. Just "this one thing or nothing." Acting like children who only want their way and nobody can have anything else. Give players options. Have one list be without any power advantage and a second one with. You'd have plenty of people wanting to play either or both. This would also give Bungie an unbiased statistic on which mode is played more so, if need be to speed up matchmaking, they can remove one later. In either case, must be 950 to enter and artifact is disabled. That's the one thing I do agree on as it could and would create all kinds of variables and problems. But base power that any avid player can attain would be fine. Could have incentives to play either list, too. Power advantage disabled could be slower to earn Trials XP or coins, if they go that route, while the tougher mode can level faster if you're skilled enough. For instance, let's say it's coins. Disabled, a win nets 3 and a loss nets 1. Enabled, wins net 6 and losses net 0. Also, have unique ornaments for Trials armor and weapons that can only drop after an Enabled game with the highest chance being after a win. There. Now you can have options. Play what you want, how you want, with different incentives to whichever route you follow.

3 RepliesTrials LL gives pvp players incentive to run Pve activities. So I’m kinda for it
-
Disable artifact, but if you can't be at 950 or 960 light, that's on you, they hand you power now.
-
No. Can't cut it don't enter.
-
1 ReplyAs long as its skill based MM so the quick play farmers get actual competition.
-
6 RepliesSkill alone means same weapons and perks not just LL. But thats not destiny so no.
-
Personally, I would like to see a a solo queue and a team based queue, like what they did for Comp. The solo can be connection-based and the team can be skill-based; This does correspond with what you are saying as well. This can give solo players an opportunity to get weapons and armor, while teams can compete for their flawless runs with other teams doing the same thing. So pretty much it’s a win-win for everybody.

Trials should be behind a paywall and have PL enabled.

6 RepliesAhhh thank god for these forums, give me a right laugh. So the leet pvp’ers now call pve’ers bounty slaves because they put in hours and hours of play and may end up having a light advantage in Trials. Pvp apparently is all about skill, not glitching, ddosing and running around farming other players with glitched builds - looking at you one eyed mask. How is a small light level difference any different from weapon advantages from the likes of not forgotten? Both advantages are the result of many hours of play in one mode or another.
-
5 RepliesThe whole argument is a moot point. Since games are not decided on skill with a weapon but rather how lucky you got with your mindbenders and spare rations drop. The game hasn't been about skill in a long time. Sniper rifles with huge aim assist buffs, hand cannons with even bigger aim assist buffs. One shot weapon weapons all over the place.
-
How does this have any upvotes? I thought the forums wanted light level advantages in these kinds of pvp activities?
-
1 ReplyDon’t pvp only players still get artifact levels.
-
29 RepliesAgreed. Dont want those PvE no lifers at like 1k light going flawless cause they can 1 tap body with a sniper.
-
5 RepliesNah, just disable the artifact light gain.
-
They need to have a seperate playlist for those that already went to the light house or whatever the final reward is. Allowing the best players to continually pubstomp everyone else ruins it for the majority of the playerbase. It should have tiers like a ladder match. That would also reduce the carrys.
-
19 RepliesIf trials is considered end game activity then light matters. There is no if, and, buts or maybe about it. Leveling up light is a key part of destiny experience.
-
3 RepliesEdited by Chunk: 2/1/2020 9:10:40 PMLight should matter, it's so easy to get to the previous seasons cap limit in a few hours you can do 10 levels after the start of the season with blues. I think 5 light levels shouldn't make any difference in trials, but if someone wants to make a new character and switch guns over with crap armour n jump in trials 125 light levels low, they should get punished until they level. Artifact light should not count nor should any artifact mods.
-
1 ReplyThis is why I hate IB when they introduce a substantial power level increase. Everyone’s always higher than me. It shouldn’t take multiple hits with a super to kill someone. Plus, if they’re trying to make it competitive, power level should be automatically out. I’m all for disabling power level advantage.
-
1 ReplyI agree. Or there should be a limit to our leveling up again
