No Incentive To Play Destiny 2 Anymore
There's nothing to chase anymore. Nothing you haven't done already a thousand times. The few things that got introduced to the game in the past couple weeks and months were nothing but underwhelming dust collectors. I thought Bastion would be different after the very long quest with many puzzles, but in the end it was just another underwhelming power creeped weapon. We want to feel powerful in this game. I want the loot that I chase to be worth my time. We don't need more dust collectors in this game. We need another Gjallarhorn, another Vex Mythoclast, another 1k Voices, another Anarchy. The game don't needs more underwhelming mediocre gear. Even the new armor pieces were a let down. Why isn't there an exotic armor that allows you to equip two exotic weapons at the same time for example? The power creep is what bores the hell out of me and really drives me off. Give me and many other end game players a reason to play this game again.

47 RepliesI’ll be honest, I have not and will not grind for 1K voices or anarchy. The raids have evolved into a massive brain bruiser and unforgiving mechanics. If you don’t know every detail about every engagement then you’re SOL. The majority of the raid community is toxic and refuse to teach. Finding a team to raid with is a job in itself. None of this is worth it anymore. This game has lost all feeling it had from D1 and will never regain it. About the only thing I enjoy is the shooting mechanic.

d2 is my super casual "zero brain activity" game, then i get bored and play something else. (rinse & repeat) never really had any other incentive than mindless fun shooting stuff for relaxation purposes. e.g: just got the rare bounty for forges (izanagi) but couldn't be bothered to finish it, it's now expired.

2 RepliesThis is because the stuff we used to play games for is now in the Eververse to purchase. And it really feels like Bungie on the whole is not focused on D2 much at all. Their focus is definitely elsewhere (D3, mobile crap made for NetEase, etc.?). I don't know but D2 is NOT their focus.

Bungie has given up on trying to be creative with their game and are content to just put it on life support with the bare minimum of effort to keep people playing. There are SO many things they could do with the existing content, listed out clearly in dozens of posts on the forum or in articles online, but do they bother to address the ideas or the complete lack of interest they seem to have in their own game aside from “taking the feedback to the team”? The designers have checked out completely. The engineers don’t seem to have the time to fix any bugs. The art team is continually producing excellent content but there aren’t enough of them to make the amount of assets the game needs. It’s a mess. I stick around because the running and shooting feels good, but that’s pretty much it.

1 ReplyI'm sure you will get the cool guy insult you responses. Yet I feel the same way as you. D1 didn't have much yet I played it every night. Why because I could blow shit up. Or use my icebreaker to solo nightfall. My ghorn to blow more shit up. My Lance nova bomb to blow shit up. Right from the start we were stripped of power. A nice weapon comes along and the nerf whiners come out in full force. Then that weapon then sits in the vault. It's more fun to go through a strike, blow everything up in half the time. That way I can quickly get back to another strike to blow more shit up. I'm sure we will here the B.S. response of "that weapon is a crutch " . It's a video game. They are supposed to be fun.

How about an Artifact that lets you equip 4 exotics at the same time. Either 4 Armor, or 3 weapons and 1 Armor. You decide what 4. However, the downside is you take 25% more Damage from all sources.

No time trials completed for nightmare hunts. This list could go on forever... Come on man, their is tons fo shit to do in this game but you just choose not to do it and spend your time on here complaining just to join the herd. It’s simple, really...when YOU have accomplished what YOU want to accomplish then move on to a new game but the reality is there is tons of stuff to do..

Edited by Kiro - 13: 1/26/2020 12:23:45 PMSome of the Legendary weapons this season are worth chasing. and you even have "Perfect God roll" because of the final double stat. examples would be as such: Perfect Perfect Paradox: Rifled Barrel & Full Choke, Accurized Rounds & Tactical Mag, Feild Prep or Demolitionist (both are cherry), Trench Barrel & One-Two Punch. Perfect Patron of Lost Causes: Extended Barrel, Accurized Rounds, Full Auto(Adds 15% attack speed making this a 230rpm weapon sorry rapid hit fans cant beat attack speed gains for ammo return), Explosive Payload & Osmosis. Line in the Sand has some hot rolls too, just sucks linar fusion rifles have to low of dps to make it worth chasing right now. but they might buff them. A damn hard roll to say the least for the perfect paradox, the patron does not have options like the paradox but getting the max range roll with explosive and osmosis is no walk in the park either. In addition I never even mentioned masterworks adding to their rarity even further.

Give everyone a Gjhallerhorn and no problem with required load out, everyone has it and can melt down the internet. Most fun/had to be there moment was when I backed up a guy that almost soloed Crota in D1!

But I paid $10 for the pass so I’m getting it to 100 cause why not. I’m at like 97-98 just from mainly crucible
