Bungie, something has to change. You clearly prioritize Eververse over many other things that would greatly benefit your game. These are things that we as players, would rather have than an Eververse update every season:
A vendor refresh (since Forsaken!)
Strike specific loot
Faction rallies
Anti-cheat
Trials
Weekly-raid
Making raids replayable by offering rewards even after the first completion of the week
Post-game rewards screen
All armor able to be used as ornaments
No elemental affinities on armor 2.0
The ability to acquire bounties in the director
Auto-dismantle blues
Bug fixes - getting kicked by error codes needs to go
Load time fixes
Dedicated servers: the crucible experience is a laggy mess
An actual sandbox update to pvp (shift the meta)
Controller sensitivity options
Recoil adjustment on console
An actual interesting exotic
Rewarding activities
Black loading screen (please the white is blinding)
Stop focusing on eververse so much and actually focus on things that will make your game more enjoyable.
Edit: While there is a free to play version of the game, d2 is not technically free to play because Bungie sells 30-40 dollar dlc. Many players already paid for the content that is now free. Most concurrent players have bought expansions. D2 is monetized as a free to play game when in reality it’s not.
Edit 2: I’m not saying abandon eververse. Obviously Bungie needs to make money and now they don’t have the support of activision. However, eververse gets a refresh every season along with seasonal events and we don’t get one of the things mentioned above. I argue if your game is in a better state, people will be more willing to buy micro transactions. Right now I don’t buy anything because I don’t support the system.
Edit 3: I'm not saying to add all of these features. Bungie can't do that. However, we haven't even gotten one of these. With Eververse getting an update every season, they could easily have a vendor refresh once and put in a bounties tab in it's place.
Edit 4: This is why Destiny 1 year 3 was better than Destiny 2 year 3. Destiny 1 had far less content but most of it had a purpose. Strikes had specific loot and were replayable. There was a weekly raid that offered unique rewards. There was a vendor refresh so we got to explore a new loot pool. Pvp was still better than it is now. Trials offered an endgame and more replayability for pvp players. Bungie, it's about QUALITY OVER QUANTITY.

I can agree with everything you wrote, mainly with faction rallies and no elemental affinities on amour, this is the worst idea ever, because it has nothing to do with your class, its just stopping you from taking the mods you want to take.
-
Oof, how many times a day, a week, a month am I going to see this kind of post? 🤣 Popcorn for everyone!! 🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿
-
Agree, D1 age of triumph was just about spot on... Why they tried to reinvent the wheel is beyond me 🤔🤪 Just making vendors and factions the way they were at that time would make the world of difference 😎👍 Too much great stuff left behind whilst they give us new (same shit different smell) stuff which isn't really great 😑👎
-
As long as people are willing to spend 8 to 10 US dollars on cosmetic items, the Eververse Store will continue to be prominent in D2.
-
I hope they start selling weapons in eververse.
-
Eververse is one of the many reasons I am done with the Destiny franchise. Encountered a similar thing in Neverwinter recently and likewise binned that game. These companies don’t get it yet that there are a plethora of good games out there without the loot box/micro-transactions of a damn android game. They will if we stop paying good money for cheap tat.
-
We’ve been asking for a bounty board in the director forever, and it’s very telling that Bungie added Eververse instead. I think this was probably the point of no return. They’ll be selling red dots for 100 silver soon. Whales have the money. Bungie wants the money. End of story. The rest of us just watch in disbelief as our games get worse.

Edited by MONKEYGOTRABIES: 1/24/2020 7:06:55 AMWhy? You'll pay for their product regardless. Andrew Wilson, CEO of EA famously said, "It doesn't matter what they want, it matters what they'll pay for." Every single paying customer who is this unsatisfied with this much disregard for player feedback in this continuously shrinking game not only proves this adage right, but reinforces, validates and perpetuates their behavior. So if it doesn't matter what you want it only matters what you'll pay for and you keep paying, why would you expect them to be better? Why should they? Edit: I love the way people anonymously downvote me but won't debate how I'm wrong. No one likes the harsh truth that when they keep paying someone to piss them off they're just going to keep getting a product that pisses them off, and they deserve it. Why on earth would you think that they would take your words the least bit seriously when your money keeps saying, "No, really, it's OK. It's FINE."

Ha, Good luck with this

Edited by Xero: 1/24/2020 8:35:44 PMI'm pretty sure this "list" will be acknowledged to say the least, but it definitely won't be any priority. You also have to consider this incomplete list of known issues, with the specific targeted ones mentioned. Now when I take a quick glance at that, it's pretty much a list of bugs. I mean it's good to know the transparency on that. Yet, I would also think a list of the "known wants" as it's own sticky topic, (your list, for example) being updated like the link above, would help quell the resurfacing, repetitive topics. At least for acknowledgement sake. Most of the list is just quality changes, but as I mentioned, sadly it won't be priority anytime soon. The other question becomes the nature of the funding. I don't know beyond Eververse, and the Bungie store, how Bungie gets their money. A part of me can understand the better quality content being behind Eververse, but how much do you dial down, without halting whatever the funding helps? It just seems like a very touchy topic.

I think it’s safe to assume that D2 is in a bare minimum mode right now as Bungie prepares for a release of the newer consoles. It’s not far-fetched to believe a D3 is right around the corner because the new console market is going to want “new flashier games” for their new systems and not the same thing they have seen for the last 3 years. Bungie isn’t going to spend a lot of money on a game that is in its twilight time when the future is selling a new product for a new generation.

I think that Eververse isn't an inherently BAD thing, personally. Having a place to go where you can buy weapon skins, shaders or new ornaments is cool and adds a bit of flair to your character. What I don't like about Eververse at the moment is the out of whack monetary pricing they are placing on items. A weapon skin for nearly the same price of a full season doesn't really make it worth my while for that weapon skin. I'd rather wait to buy the new season instead. What I would like to see is a price adjustment on all things Eververse more in line with what is being offered. I would definitely shell out $2-$3 dollars for a weapon skin or $8+ for a full armor skin. My hope is that Bungie realizes that they can make more money selling things cheaper (and sell more quantity) then charge more (and sell less quantity). Right now i want to be the optimist and say that Bungie is just trying it out and seeing how things are - no need for salt, just a bit of feedback :) All in all, if prices comes down a bit - my Bad Juju will be getting the ornament it so desperately craves.
-
If we had actual strike specific loot. Armor set per strike with special mod Weapon per strike Skeleton keys Not emblem not tokens, actual rewards
-
Don’t forget a Nightfall exclusive OR AT LEAST A DAMN EMBLEM for Broodhold, Scarlet Keep, and Festering Core
-
But bungie is a small indie company that needs to milk the players for every penny to stay afloat. Oh wait, no they're not, they've been making a ridiculous amount of money since they split from activision, and microtransactions got worse than ever.
-
No chance. “Here is a new exotic that comes out earlier than scheduled, of by the way the cosmetic is out the very next week”
-
Making more money now than when they did with Activision. They are not going to listen, give up and stop complaining or stop playing. You can’t win this fight, none of us can.
-
We're still creating posts to get rid of eververse? Lol! Bungie isn't getting rid of micro transactions. I'm 43 years old and have been playing videos since Atari - micro transactions (eververse) is the future - spoiler alert: you're going to lose this fight. Now, updated vendors? Sure, whatever. I prefer to have quality than quantity (as another posted in a different thread).
d2 is not technically free to play
WaRfRaMe iS tEchNiCALLy nOt FrEe To PLaY
Pvp was still better than it is now.
I read your post 2 or 3 times now.. I don't see any sort of constructive criticism detailing HOW PvP was "better".. I feel like it must be really easy for you to just vaguely say dumb things (your entire post) without detailing the benefits of any of these things. "LOAD FIXES" LOL. THE AUDACITY TO SAY LOAD FIXES! I mean, don't get me wrong- I love mindlessly hating on this game as much as the next person, but at least think for 3 seconds before making your post. Does Bungie care? What's their goal? It's not bad for a company to have the goal of making money. Game companies make money by being ethical with their community, logical with their design and creating beautiful experiences that have tons of replay-ability. If you're making money and a small militant angsty group of 1000 entitled brats on the forums keeps re-sourcing the same stuff over and over again..
-
Bungie could make a billion dollars off Eververse and the game would still be shit
-
It annoys me how they tried to justify Eververse by saying the funds from it were used to make the Whisper and Outbreak quests. That's like saying you stole someone's life savings, and then gave it to their family.
-
The people who work on vendor loot could very well be different from the people who work on eververse. And they already have heard this to death. And your spamming. Can you stop spamming this? Everyone and their grandmother knows this game needs more world loot

Edited by Lore Oradon: 1/25/2020 4:35:25 AM1. Vendor refreshing has already been covered. That's a no. 2. Strike Specific Loot is in the game for nightfalls. 3. Factions can come back. No argument there. 4. Anti cheat is coming. Already confirmed. 5. Weekly raids and Replaying it. Replaying it no. Weekly raid, thier designing it to be harder off the bat. Don't really see a need for it. 6. Post game reward screen is a want not a need. And we have those. 7. Ornaments are to change appearance. Not all armor. Not a need. 8. Bounties in director... Not a Need. 9. Bug fixes. Always. 10. Load times can be adjusted. 11. Dedicated servers would be nice to have. 12. Sandbox update we always get. 13. Controller Sensitivity options. Would need to be more specific on that. 14. Recoil on console. Seems fine to me. 15. Exotic. There's plenty interesting Exotics to play with. 16. Rewarding Activity's. We have that. 17. Black loading screen. Not a need. Edit: this post is my opinions.

In regards to your first edit, you cannot use your past purchases of destiny content to justify the current contents lack of your preferred content. Bungie cant look at their design choices and take into account that people bought the previous expansions so they have to be x amount of compensated. They have to look at the game as f2p/seasonal from a design standpoint 100%
-
Man I'm thinking of going back and enjoying D1 the more you remind me how much better it is I'm willing to give up mantle for a good Destiny game. Maybe start a whole new character.
-
I used to defend Bungie for their mistakes foolishly. Its plain to see now nothing will get changed and most likely will stay that way until D3.
