Most of you may know I'm homeschooled, no, it's not my mom, I'm in a co-op. For those of you who don't know what that is, it's basically where homeschoolers get together one day a week and have a class. Homework is optional.
I have a class that I'm supposed to read, the taming of the shrew, I read it and said "it was kinda boring."
And my teacher gets visabally mad, she's fricking red, and almost yells "you're 15 and you're not an expert on 'the classics' so you can't say it's boring"
I'm mad now and try to stay calm and say "I was just saying I found it boring, nothing to the value of the play."
And then she goes on a rant about how modern kids can't appreciate the classics.
I lean over to my friend and say "bet she heard this exact same thing from her teachers" then we both start laughing.
Our teacher tells us to tell the whole class what was so funny, and we say "star wars spoilers"
She rolled her eyes and said "if anyone argues with me again I'll call their parents"
So I mumble just loud enough for my friend to hear "my mom doesn't even like you she'll just laugh and tell me I shouldn't do that."
I hate my teacher

IMHO.... A teacher who gets pissed about someone having their own opinion (y'know, like a functioning -blam!-ing adult) is a shitty teacher. If I'd said something like that in School, they'd either have mostly ignored it or just asked why.

1 Reply“Star Wars Spoilers” You sir, have quite the IQ to use this as your excuse

I feel ya', my mom's my teacher. I've had a total of about two weeks away from her in the last five years :(

1 ReplyAsk them about Sartre. See what happens. She'll either explode or be intrigued. But be ready to duck and cover.

2 RepliesDon’t you hate getting opinion questions wrong on tests?

6 RepliesDon't worry, Challenge 2 is a LOT easier

3 RepliesI thought that was a pretty interesting and funny book. Except my class turned into a debate on how men will always be misogynistic pigs.

2 RepliesYes! Use your hate!

Sounds like she should be something besides a teacher, and is too touchy about old novels, or simply doesn't like teens.

I’d rather read classics or MODERN book than books teachers picked that were modern for their time or the book choose hasn’t changed of +10 years because “ThAt’S ThE wAy It HaS bEeN.”
