Clearing the console cache by powering down and leaving the hardware unplugged for at least 5 minutes, or verifying the game files via Steam, can help correct these kinds of issues. If it does not, you'll need to wait for Bungie to deploy a fix. https://www.bungie.net/en/Help/Article/12539

I checked the article you linked, but it seems to just offer steps for console players. Do you know how I can execute this process on Steam/PC? I'll see if I can find anything on Google in the meantime.

  • I did so now and it just said "All files successfully validated," so I'm assuming there wasn't any file corruption. Hopefully the issue is resolved one way or the other.
