Either let us get the weapons from another source, or update the loot pool to bring people back to the event.

6 RepliesI just do it to kill Nightmares. Weapons, what weapons? They legendary shards.

4 RepliesFWIW, if anyone is looking to grind out blacksmith frames for the Seal or for a specific roll, Alter is the fastest way to get your multikills and boss kills for materials. You can complete and entire frame in under 4 minutes.

31 RepliesGot so much crap in my vault that dont need any more. We need our vaults wiped and then a re build every season, just let us keep the one load out equipped...... I do understand this is hated by the majority but I do think it should happen..... Keep it polite;))))))

1 ReplyI’m nearing max vault and just can’t hold anymore loot

1 ReplyEveryone is too busy fscking each other over to finish the IB quest, then baking and delivering holiday goodies and finally upgrading the Obelisks. What’s the Moon again?

1 ReplyEdited by Swiftlock: 12/28/2019 7:51:41 PMEasy fix. Stick a Pinnacle Engram to it. Players will come flying back to the moon in droves.

This kind of activity should require an active matchmaking and not a passive one.

1 ReplyIt was a seasonal raid

4 RepliesEdited by Corrick II: 12/28/2019 7:57:20 PMI haven’t run the Altar in a long time because it got old real quick. Sundial even faster than that. There just isn’t any replayability to these activities and the rewards aren’t exactly changing the world. These days I’ll just completely the weekly flashpoint, grind one of the weapon quests that’s been sitting in my inventory, or just fart around for a little while with one of my alts. Out of all the things in the game to do, there’s just... really not that much to do.

2 RepliesLegit don’t even know what Alter of Sorrows is.

To anyone who cares.... At the final stage you dant have to kill any nightmares.... get your teammates to stand at the different enemy spawn locations and slay all the adds as they come out and let the nightmares sacrifice. If done properly you will gain more time from killing adds than what the nightmares can take away from you when they sacrifice.
-
Not since first week lol
-
Takes way to long and fails 90% at boss, often leads to players insulting each other.
-
I forgot that it exists lol
-
Meh. I’m bored with it already.
-
1 ReplyI'd do it more, but unless you have a fireteam plus a blueberry or two that knows how to keep Nightmares from sacrificing on boss stage, it's mind numbing. I still need the triumph for no sacrifices for the Title, but that ain't happening for a while
-
It doesn't have anything worth playing for. They removed any light progress from normal activities past a certain level, and they don't actively update the loot. People will get tired of most any event pretty quickly with that combination of settings.
-
8 RepliesUsed to run it but got tired of dealing with idiots who dont fight the nightmares in the last encounter
-
Edited by ScottF 2112: 12/27/2019 11:47:29 PMMakes sense. You get the three weapons from it and can be done. I guess a few people might keep playing for random rolls, but not many. None of the weapons are really dominant PVP or PVE weapons, so there isn't a lot of reason to keep grinding.
-
We’re too busy baking and delivering cookies.
-
2 RepliesWhich one's that again?
-
Of course they are not, all the smart people quit the game and are enjoying other quality games on the market. Hurrrrr durrrrr, altar or sorrow, re skinned weaponsssss!
-
Removing the light progression in everything but the most current activities is most absurd. What you be having fun collectively is ruined by a sense to ignore what will not move you forward (to whatever direction you're trying to move anyways).
-
No one did it when it first came out either. It’s another failed activity similar to a Blind Well or EP. They are all great in theory, but in practice they don’t work very well. Even at its peak, I barely ever saw anyone on the Moon to begin with — and I know I’m not alone. Same with Dreaming a City. Bungie have issues with getting enough people into instances. It’s why I laugh when people call this an mmo.

Anymore? People did it last season? I think I did twice.
