Abbreviated Instructions...
1) Open Destiny and set your settings then apply and close.
2) Go to %appdata%\Bungie\DestinyPC\prefs Delete the .tmp and .old
3) Edit the file and change the two variables
3.a) <cvar name="force_auto_detect" value="8" /> to <cvar name="force_auto_detect" value="0" />
3.b) <cvar name="mouse_smoothing_mode" value="8" /> to <cvar name="mouse_smoothing_mode" value="0" />
4) Copy the .xml twice and rename to .tmp and .old
5) Make the files read only.
This worked much faster than the original delete this before opening then opening etc etc.

That actually worked.. make sure you change the file type when you copy updated xml, so the extension is .tmp and .old

Why mouse smoothing? Whats the point?

If you don't do mouse smoothing it doesn't fix it. I tried both.

Edited by Novuhz: 12/14/2019 1:54:19 PMUsually if it doesn't work it's because you either missed/skipped one of the steps or one of the steps you didn't do right, most ppl fail at the file extension/type change and some ppl don't change mouse_smoothing_mode so it also doesn't work. all files need to be the same settings as the xml one. and last do not try to change settings after doing all this or it will mess it up.

I followed the one you did to a “T,” but unfortunately it still didn’t work. I’m no stranger to file editing, but this just surprises me. Thank you for the help though.
