Bungie. The community wants this game to succeed.
But you have been failing to communicate with the players. The last four TWABs haven’t addressed any feedback we’ve given in the last month.
Not only are you ignoring us but you are also ignoring the community managers who are sending you our feedback.
I cannot stress this enough when I say I want this game to succeed and I want Bungie to succeed.
That’s one of the reasons I still hang around the forums. I want Bungie to show me that they truly care.
Maybe in the future we can have live streams that show us what the PvE team is working on. And another for the PvP team. Etc.
Even if the teams say that we won’t be seeing anything new for a while, at least we will know you are listening.

If you want feedback, post in the subreddit. This forum is a toxic wasteland that normal people, including Bungie staff, steer clear from. Fun to pop in every few weeks and rubberneck this train wreck, but not worth sticking around for any substantial amount of time.

Bungie is working on new, next gen IP's and could give a rats ass about Destiny at this point. Your "DLC" pfft and Everver$e funds are not supporting Destiny anymore. It's all going to next gen support. Keep throwing that money though. 🤷♂️

I just want D2 to be like Year 3 of D1. A game made for everyone. Not a boring, unrewarding grind fest for unemployed elitists that play 24/7.

Bungie has had 5 years, other studios and leading developers try to help them and they keep missing deadlines, keep releasing subpar content and driving away players. 17 million accounts and they can't brake 1 million on the day of a new season? No company this incompetent should still be in business.

I absolutely love that Warframe can run a live stream the morning after launching [i]SPACE BATTLES[/i] acknowledging bugs and issues many immediately reported as well as just hanging out with the community. The NEXT DAY. Bungie never does this at any comparable level of frequency or quality. Why are they the ones to get a community support reward? We hardly know the Devs... Only messengers, who often act near robotic and don't run weekly streams for which to play and communicate with the players in a relaxed manner. They could be so much more, all they need do is wish it. 1 ReplyThis is a cycle of behaviour; the ignorance of feedback and absence of engagement happen every 18-24 months or so. I’ve been here since the start and it’s Déjà vu. There’s nothing big to sell, we’ve all brought the latest shiny add-on from a great looking trailer and vi-doc, and been sold the promise of riches in the new season pass model, we’re all suckers, again, yes that includes me.

In the long-forgotten days of 2013, we were promised an epic RPG space-drama set in a magical open world filled with climbable mountains and tigermen. Flash forward to now, and I’m running one raid a couple times a week to boost my light level for god-knows-why, slapping the spacebar to the beat of “Running in the 90s” to get through some very pretty, expansive, and completely soulless areas as quickly as possible. There is no RPG element. There is no open world. Tigermen have to be bought through Eververse. Bungie’s focus shifted from making Destiny a good game to selling the illusion that Destiny is a good game. Integrity was tossed out the window as they brainstormed ways to draw in players, retain them, and make money off of them. It’s why Destiny 2 feels so awkward and incoherent. Bungie’s treating symptoms and ignoring the core problem. They sell Seasons that they advertise with flashy trailers. They artificially draw out content and encourage people to stay with “FOMO” bullshit. They stopped being true to themselves and to the game in an attempt to appeal to everyone, to get funds to keep the universe afloat. If they’d just focused on making Destiny [i]Destiny[/i], what they want it to be and not what they think everyone else wants it to be, they’d appeal to a lot more people. He wrote a huge essay of mess about how making content is hard and how eververse is so important just so he could sell shadowkeep Their most enthusiastic dev, David Samuel is now nowhere to be seen. This sucks because 1. He is the only entertaining part of their vidocs and 2. He had a frickin emote made about him. But who do we get instead? They don't care about what the community wants. They care about how much money the community will spend and I'm going to try to explain why. Bungie, according to Google, has 2,600 employees. If we assume that they get payed an average of $40,000 a year (a little over $13 an hour), that means the cost of paying their employees is $104M. Which seems like a lot. Because it is. Last month, Destiny 2 saw an average of 90,000 players on Steam alone. Console players are harder to track. But lets pretend, for argument, that far more people play on PC than console. Lets say three times as many. 30,000 players per console in the world. That's 150,000 total. If that number were correct and each player spent $57 a month on MTX, Bungie would be able to pay every employee they have. That's assuming that nobody spends more than $57 on stuff like Dawning and FotL. A lot of these numbers are speculation. But hopefully the point comes across. Bungie is not struggling to pay their bills. Especially when the extent of the content they've been releasing lately have been maps pulled from the game they already made and "quests" thats steps are literally "go here and kill this type of enemy this way with this type of weapon". Destiny 2 is a soulless money machine. I enjoy playing it but I don't want the community accidentally tricking themselves into thinking that Bungie cares in the slightest about what they think.

I do want this game to succeed, but I have a feeling and its not a good feeling that this game and other games are introducing class warfare thats not in a fun way.
