I'm still a little upset I paid 15,000 bright dust on Solstice Armor glows to only have them become obsolete 2 weeks later.
Would you please consider refunding us the bright dust since we paid for a product we CANNOT USE. Or (and more favorably) make the Solstice armor a cosmetic set.

Edited by NinKirin: 12/16/2019 3:15:38 AMI agree with this post. As some people have stated in this post and previous ones, that they have spent a lot of time and effort grinding the different activities to unlock the majestic versions of this gear because it looked appealing to them, and some may have spent a lot of bright dust or silver on the glow effects to enhance that appeal. As a result, I find it very unfair to all the individuals who spent the massive amount of dust/silver on this armor only to find that the 2.0 version comes with a random energy type that cannot be chosen and a subpar stat spread, which makes this armor practically obsolete compared to all the other new 2.0 armor that one can obtain in this game. Thus, making this armor a cosmetic, would be a nice idea as everyone who had spent a lot of time, effort, dust/silver on this gear can make use of it on any armor. However, I'd also like to add that, being able to re-roll or at least re-obtain new pieces of majestic solstice armor with different stat spreads/energy type would make me happy as well.

Just use the armor bud, I use most of my own on each character and it hasn't hindered me in any sense. You paid for a glow that applied to an armor set, and if you don't like the set you've spent money on you're entitled to nothing more just because of your buyer's remorse. I have the glows on all characters for both Y1 and Y2 Solstice, and I can't even put mods on the Y1 solstice armor. Stats to me aren't as big of a deal to me regarding cosmetics however I do feel everything should be available from collections with a set armor 2.0 roll

lol, they TOTALLY -blam!-ed us out of 15,000 bright dust. really shitty thing to do to the player base. lets make up a huge cost on something that is instantly worthless....
-
Would be nice to be able to use those ornaments on any armor set. I miss the glows from D1.
-
This goes for the Halloween masks too. Nowhere during the Halloween event did the masks say "Will be unusable after the event". A fair warning would have been nice. After the event they set the masks to lvl 0 so nobody could use them. But some of the masks cost real money didn't they? I didn't buy any, but I'd be pissed if I did. Plus some of the masks you could only unlock after completing the entire event. Which means after all that grind, you get to wear them for like a day.

Gotta agree. It should be an ornament or just drop from random purpled in the world.
-
Did you really expect they wouldn't they did the exact sane thing year one.
-
Can’t everyone see it comming? The solstice armor will be made into ornaments that we will be forced to grind for during the y3 solstice event
-
Thats on you for deleting your set of gear. I mean, i grinded for the y1 solstice set only for the glows to not work on y2 gear, and you dont see me complaining. completely on you for wasting your bright dust
-
It was clear to me they just wanted us to spend the bright dust. I did anyway knowing this. Doesnt make it right though.
-
See many did not learn there lesson the first time around with the solstice armor while everyone else just didn't bother because we knew it would be worthless in a few weeks.
-
Don't forget those who paid 800 silver per glow
-
I can't believe no one at Bungie did not foresee this to be a problem.
-
But then Bungie won't be able to reissue Solstice gear next year and charge players again for glows ect.
-
100% agree. It was a huge con
-
I do use the class item. Thankfully the stats don't matter for that one. The other armor pieces sadly though.... also I think I accidentally dismantled the helmet day 1 of shadowkeep.....
-
100% Agreed! My solstice armor dropped with crappy rolls and it’s useless! :/
-
I paid for the glows twice and had them become irrelevant twice. Shame me.
-
Totally milked all of you who paid that bright dust so that you wouldn't have bright dust left to buy stuff the following seasons when everything was silver or ridiculous costs.

At this point it would probably be easier for them and better for us if they make it so we can make are own armor ornaments... Just go into collections, select the armor piece and save as an ornament... Instead of waiting for bungie to make your favourite armor pieces ornaments we could just do it are selves.
-
You’d have to be an idiot to believe bungle wasn’t going to do that only 2 weeks after ponying up. Anything connected to a physical purchase should be permanent, ornaments, skins, modes, anything.

I didnt lmao 1 was enough

Edited by MudShadow: 12/14/2019 2:28:06 AMThis is why I stopped playing. Not this reason alone but just the general attitude of the developers in not respecting the player's time and effort. it's one thing making a loot based game where grinding for hours for in-game items is the main goal. But then to also entice player's with garbage glows to drain their in-game currency. And doing other shenanigans such as requiring players to complete lengthy 10 - 20 hours quests three times for all three characters. That is beyond the limit of what I expect from a product which is supposed to be classified as entertainment.

Agree 100%. Tired of Bungie tricking their supporters and ripping them off.

They said you will get a 2.0 version of it right away but didn't mention it will be 48 stats Typical BUNGO
