Paid carries
Bungie honestly today I used you app to try and find a legit group to work together to achieve legend in comp.
However it seem not matter which group I joined every single on was requesting payment for it.
Honestly im sick of seeing this. I see advertised over the internet and I find it abhorrent that you either support this or do nothing about it.
1- it takes away the point of earning the weapons.
2- I find it shocking that the app designed to be used for lfg is now being used a means to get people to pay for support where it’s supposed to be used to find player looking for the same thing not to make money.
3- I enjoy destiny and have paid for every release of the game from d1 all the way to d2. As such I’m supporting the growth of the game. Every now and then I buy silver so I can by the extra cosmetics. However this is a joke and it makes a mockery of game and is actually deterring from even want to try and get the weapons legitimately and even considering stopping in comp.
4-data concerns, the term recovery where another person uses your account to play your game and get the weapon. To do so you have to hand over you password and user name to your account giving someone access to your own personal data.
Please speak up against these paid carries or take action for people using your app to make money from people who just want to play your game.

Yeah I can't believe Bungie allows such behavior on their website. Not only solicitations for helping but I had a dude ask me to let him on my account for help. Of course I said no way, but then he proceeded to send me a bunch of harassing messages like this: "good luck getting to legend in glory without my help, scrub!" and other nasty comments. I managed to get there without paying anyone, or giving access to my PSN account. Nobody should ever allow or trust random strangers with their system account because they can easily change your password and lock you out of your own account! Bungie, if you're reading this you should stop such activity and ban those types of players.

The more posts I read about this the more angry and saddened I become. This is a video game. It's supposed to be fun and enjoyable to play. Yet it's got to the stage where it's nothing more than a money making tool for unscrupulous people who are no better than gangsters , a bit like the scum who run protection rackets in the real world. I don't give a toss what anyone says, if a person guarantees to get a loot item for a fee, they must be doing something themselves which is, shall we say, not so honest. I.E. This forum is always full of posts complaining how bad crucible is regarding lag,latency,poor servers, connection etc etc. So surely, even if you're one of the top players on the planet, you must experience the same problems as the average player....unless you know a way to get round it. Know what I'm saying? The majority of us who are lucky enough to have gotten the pinnacle weapons have probably sweated blood, but have got them fairly and had that great feeling of achievement, but how many can say they were DEFINATELY going to get them within a certain period of time? I feel sorry for the players who feel they have to pay for stuff, stuff that is the whole point of playing the game for, and hate the people who exploit them. I think it's impossible to stop or police the cheats, hackers, and carriers in video gaming, but Bungie could take away rewards, glory and ranking from all crucible, and just have it as a side game. And one way to stop the paid carries would be to give the pinnacles to EVERYBODY

If Bungie removed all the paid carries it would devastate the PvP playerbase. It would literally wipe out a large portion of players. The current Matchmaking system is not working well at all due to there not being enough players in the events to find a balanced team. So no - removing carries is not an option.

As long as people buy them they will exist. I'm sure they can do a better job to remove these messages from the fireteam finder but other then that its out of their hands. Even if they remove the fireteam finder groups and ban their account, you can make another account for free. What they can do is add filters to stop all groups created with the word recovery, carries etc but to be honest the biggest % of recoveries are bought through ebay and personal websites.

Yet Bungie and mods do nothing. I have seen the same dude doing paid carries on the forum for weeks on end now. I have reported him and nothing has come of it. as far as I've seen the only time you guys care about CoC is when you see someone posting the name of a cheater online. It's obvious Bungie and mods cant get their priorities straight when it comes to big issues like this. This statement is hypocrisy at its finest. (oh, I would give their tag by the way, but... It would be against CoC)

Moderators should be locking the posts then banning who ever is advertising the paid carries. On your own website or whatever is fine , you do you. Not on the actual bungie app tho, amazing how no action is taken but you name and shame someone then the whole place melts down

Regardless if you pay your friend back with supper or drinks or by returning the favor.... just because it's monetary and people arnt good enough to adapt and beat these players... we get whiny -blam!- posts like this one.... I'm soooooo sick of seeing all the cry baby posts.

I got to NF this season playing the solo queue when I’ve never even been close any other season. However I don’t really have a problem with paid carries...as long as there is no cheating involved. This game is plagued with issues. Cheating, lag, horrible matchmaking. It makes it nearly impossible for some people to acquire things, even if they are good enough to actually get them. This game has turned to pay to win anyways, since the departure of Activision. You could pay to complete the season in the store. Too many times, in the past, I’ve been screwed out of games and lost comp points when I played my ass off. And high level comp is very taxing on losses. It’s extremely frustrating. Especially when you know you AREN’T getting outplayed, you’re getting cheated or the lag is so bad you cant play around it. Honestly I tend to not get bothered by things that don’t affect me. I’ve always had issue with BUNGIE creating game breaking items that are out of reach for some people. If this is a way for people to get them and be happy, I can’t really hate on it. It’s their money. Id rather see people pay good players money to help them, than to have them cheat themselves. As long as it makes you happy, and you’re not hurting someone else’s play experience, I’d say I’m okay with it. I do see your point on the cluttered LFG forum though. That’s a pain.

2 RepliesPaid carries like that is against the code of conduct, however bungie doesn't enforce it themselves, unless someone reports such posts to them. Furthermore Bungie only account bans. They do not IP ban players as they should, so those doing paid carries that do get banned just make another account and start again. So there's no real consequence to their actions. As a result actual websites have actually been made specifically for paid carries for not only comp but for just about everything, and while Bungie could probably take legal action against the site owners they never will, for the same reason they won't IP ban, they can't afford to lose any more of they're already small player base.

They ban a lot of accounts. Most you notice that offer that on the app have fresh 750 accounts a day old. They get banned they re create- recycle - recreate
