You admitted to running a cheat engine at the same time as D2. Yes it wasn't designed for D2, but it obviously tried to inject code or edit D2s memory which is an automatic flag and ban. What is running on your PC is your responsibility. At this point I would love for BNGSecurity to respond to this...telling you the same things everyone else here has...and lock the thread.

When you agreed to the ToS, you agreed to let Bungie scan your computer while you are playing. Bungie very much CAN scan and ban you.

yeah i had cheat engine installed and running but i didn't use it on d2, really, i didn't. uh huh. right. sure. we believe you. thing is, willing to cheat in other games = willing to cheat in d2. there is no way to convince anyone otherwise. and has been explained numerous times in your post here, bungie has the logs of it interacting with the d2 process, whether directly or in background cause you left it open and running. period. end of story. own it.

Cheat engine targets anything on your pc, but only modifies the app and value it was intended. Even though Destiny 2 was unaffected, Cheat Engine still targeted Destiny 2.

I use to think this was all nonsense but I logged in today to a ban as well. Have not used any 3rd party applications to modify/read the game nor do I have any installed. My pvp record is by no means impressive. And the last thing I've done were some raids about a week or so ago before logging in today. The lack of transparency is a bit irritating and seeing as how this game has a record for falsely banning players in the past for no reason it seems as though it may be an issue worth looking at. Especially if its one that is seeming to drive more sales.

They didn’t scan your PC. They saw you running the engine at the time of launching Destiny. You left it running and you got banned. There’s no maybe here. And I agree with your advice of not downloading cheats engines. They are not worth their trouble.

99% cheat 1% Bungie error

Hiya, Golden here There are 3 reasons why you got banned. 1) You blatantly cheated and made it obvious (Aimbots, Wallhacks, Etc) 2) You accidentally forgot to close any "sketchy" apps while playing Destiny 2. Could have been a certain video editor or even mod from another game. 3) Ever so rarley, and I mean One in a million, certain viruses on a PC can trigger the Anti Cheat. The user is still held accountable for their PC and account. Bans are permanent and they CANNOT be overturned. [spoiler]P.S Bungie will not scan your PC, ever. The Anti Cheat will be triggered of it detects something, A bungie employee will manually place the ban of deemed worthy[/spoiler]
