Hello. If you purchased Ornaments from Eververse and unlocked the package you received, you can equip your Ornaments by inspecting the applicable armor piece/weapon, tab down to the Appearance menu, and equip the Ornament there.

I unlocked the package AND the single item sets (I had to keep the button F pressed)

The Empyrean class bundle of items can be applied to any legendary armor you that has dropped for you since the start of Shadowkeep/New Light on October 1st. You can identify that armor because it will say that it has N Energy, where N is a number 1 through 5 (or up to 10 if you have masterworked it). Like Aya said, inspect the gear, press down, and then apply the ornament you wish. You cannot apply universal ornaments, as they are called, to exotic armor. Exotic armor has their own ornaments, if they have one at all.

Right. For Ornaments, this is what you're supposed to do. This permanently unlocks them for use across your account. What Ornaments did you purchase and what are you trying to apply them to?

Okay, but did i accidentally remove these items from my inventory or trash them? Because they are not in my inventory anymore after I have kept pressing "F"

No, you can't dismantle an Ornament like you can gear or consumables. After you unlock them, you'll find them in the Ornament slot when inspecting gear that can accept them. Inspect a legendary piece of Armor 2.0. The UI will tell you what button to press to toggle the Appearance menu. Do that, and you'll see the Ornament slot. Hover over that slot, and it'll give you every Ornament you have that can be applied to that armor piece. That's where you'll see the Ornaments you just bought.

Just for clarity - here is an image showing the differences. Only Armour 2.0 can accept the ornaments. If it is a piece of 2.0 armour, any relevant ornaments will appear in the ornament slot
