Just don't bother anymore.
"Oh we put a gun that works at nearly every competitive range and has none of the flaws of every other gun"
-blam!-ing delusional game design.
It's a loot game. Stop turning PvP into everyone using the exact same weapon, and exact same loadout, with weapons that just functionally do better than nearly every gun in the game.
It's boring.
And it's not even about "losing", it's annoying regardless of the end result, or my personal performance in the game.
It's just bad, and unenjoyable.
I'm not sitting there going "hmm, what wide variety of weapons could people be using, what kind of unique loadout could this be?"
No. It's just Luna/NF or Recluse, Spectral, Stormcaller, and Bottom Tree Striker. Done. That's PvP, what's what people do, cos it's just better.
-blam!- me for wanting to go Duke - Le Monarque, with Oathkeepers, and having a load out that I find fun, supporting my team, forcing players to dip out of team fights cos of poison, getting rampage on Duke, and seeing if I can follow up with a 2 tap.
Screw the youtubers who talk about potential builds pairing exotics, and making fun ways to play the game.
Nah, dont do that, just grind out the same shit everyone else is using, because its functionally better, down to the way it shoots, handles and bullshits the games gun mechanics that you've in place on every other gun, besides that one.
It's stale, nobody actually enjoys it.

i still enjoy my NF, it feels better post-nerf 😌
-
3 RepliesShotgun rush them. I can destroy all three consistently.... I fear no weapon when Im in your face
-
1 ReplyI honestly haven't seen these weapons much at all since the nerf. But I'm under 2,000 glory this season because I've been catching up on pve stuff...so maybe I'm just not seeing it because of that. I used luna a couple of times since the nerf and honestly, I have several other weapons I find to be better now.
-
2 Repliesjesus christ the guns were already nerfed will people ever stop whining
-
12 RepliesAnd here i am Using bottom tree Arc warlock. Dragons breath Arbalest and a random power weapon. And i still beat people to a pulp. Weapon are not everything. If you know how to use it. You can destroy. If you cant then stop rushing and play smart. Dont believe me ?? See my todays pvp session. Have a nice day. And no i dont play crucible often. Only when IB is here.

My Cerberus +1 eats them.

Just don't bother anymore. "Oh we put a gun that works at nearly every competitive range and has none of the flaws of every other HC"
A. Both have ranges where they have damage falloff, and are subsequently beaten by 110 HCs and Pulses. B. Spare Rations and similar weapons have similar, if not better usage beyond recoil.
-blam!-ing delusional game design. It's a loot game. Stop turning PvP into everyone using the exact same weapon, and exact same loadout, with weapons that just functionally do better than nearly every gun in the game.
So allow people to use whatever they want? As in LH/NF? Especially since Spare Rations and other similar weapons are just outright better with proper recoil control?
It's boring. And it's not even about "losing", it's annoying regardless of the end result, or my personal performance in the game.
Then Spare Rations etc. would be more boring. They're just outright better for the most part.
It's just bad, and unenjoyable. I'm not sitting there going "hmm, what wide variety of weapons could people be using, what kind of unique loadout could this be?"
Well, I don't have that problem, especially considering that again, Spare Rations is a flat upgrade in most aspects.
No. It's just Luna/NF,
Or Mindbender's, Erentil, Wizend, That one Dreaming City shotgun, Lord of Wolves... And that's just Energy Slot alternatives.
Spectral,
All trees of Gunslinger are still common...
Stormcaller,
Dawnblade has higher usage, as well as a higher winrate.
and Bottom Tree Striker.
Ehhhh, I'll give you that, albeit you see your fair share of Sunbreakers, too.
Done. That's PvP, what's what people do, cos it's just better.
Where yet again any 150 that can roll with a higher range and Kill Clip is just outright better than LH, debatedly NF in most cases...
-blam!- me for wanting to go Duke
I love Duke, but you have to realize that it's super niche when you use it, that's how 110s have been since Destiny 1.
- Le Monarque,
Arguably the best bow in the game, still reliably 2 bodyshots people at any range when factoring in the poison...
with Oathkeepers,
Uhhh, why would you use Oathkeepers? The perk can never not be super niche, if not outright terrible...
and having a load out that I find fun, supporting my team, forcing players to dip out of team fights cos of poison, getting rampage on Duke, and seeing if I can follow up with a 2 tap.
Still a viable strategy, I sometimes will do that, but you have to realize that in most PvP environments, support isn't a valuable or viable role to play. Support is a role, sure, but in a game that's closer to Halo, it just doesn't work very well when compared to something like Overwatch or even Battlefield.
Screw the youtubers who talk about potential builds pairing exotics, and making fun ways to play the game.
That's not stopping you from competing. Especially since LH is just flat outclassed, and NF might have a slight edge in range and range only.
Nah, dont do that, just grind out the same shit everyone else is using, because its functionally better, down to the way it shoots, handles and bullshits the games gun mechanics that you've in place on every other gun, besides that one.
Where yet again, they're all completely outclassed by Spare Rations in their intended role, other guns outside of that, like Last Word or SMGs up close, or Pulses or even 360 Autos at long range.
It's stale, nobody actually enjoys it.
Well I for one don't really care what my opponent uses so long as it doesn't have a massive jump in effectiveness, where LH/NF do not, being completely outclassed within the Hand Cannon weapon type, and outside of it at ranges where hand cannons don't do well... You have summoned me.

lh and nf are normal 150 atm, so where is the problem?
-
1 ReplyLuna/NF really isn’t a problem tbh, they aren’t impossible to take down. There are many guns that can challenge them such as pulses that have good range, scouts at range, anything with range really and fushions/shottys in close-mid range fights

8 RepliesThere is no true balance in weapon design, there will aways be an weapon that will stand out... So if you remove a weapon that excels in a specific area of the game, and going by your philosophy that weapon needs to be purged from the game. Realize this, no mater the nerfing, no mater the complaints, there will aways be a meta, and people will follow it. There will aways be a slightly good weapon that everyone will flock to... It's just human behavior...
PS. if your delusional idea come to pass, say good bye to the le monarch, it would be bound to get removed...

ppss. im on console, where the hell are you encountering the lunas howl or forgotten? the current meta is fusion rifles and pulse rifles...
I enjoy it. The game isn’t all about you and what you think is fun. There are other players they have to worry about.

1 ReplyEdited by snifflyfob: 9/1/2019 12:04:09 AMWell Luna's howl and is not really that good anymore. I just recently got mine and I was genuinely shocked that my spare rations and waking vigils were a lot better in the same rpm. On console trust and service revolver are going to be far better options simply of how forgiving they are. Even thorn, the gun I used to get to fabled, outranges lunas and does basically everything better. Can't say anything about not forgotten since I don't have it and probably never will.
