Everything that needs to be said about the atrocity that is Crucible has been said many times before, but it falls on deaf ears.
My point is simply: If Bungie doesn't care about Crucible and is just going to pretend it doesn't exist, then stop making it a quest requirement so I can do the same.

3 RepliesEdited by Darkwolfpuppy: 7/17/2019 7:46:25 PMI respectfully disagree. As someone that primarily does PvE and only just started competitive pvp a week ago for the revoker in order to get my moment of triumph done, I’ve grown to love pvp. Flawed as it may be, it does require a fair bit of preparation in your loadout and the skill that you bring to the table. During my 5 day quest (probably 5 hours per day, exclusively comp pvp) for revoker, here was where my glory was at the end of each day: Day1: 300 Day 2: 500 Day 3: 700 Day 4: 1200 Day5: 1400 I’m now almost 1800 glory and pretty satisfied with how I’ve progressed in only a week. I “got gud” (even though there’s so much more room for me to grow) and fully intend to try for Luna’s howl and recluse. The bottom line: PvP rewards those willing to practice and grow. It is a fair barrier to weapons, even non pvp pinnacle weapons, and encourages player engagement with a variety of activities outside of their comfort zone. I believe everyone has the capacity to be able to get whatever gun they are working towards. I realize much of what I talked about was comp specific, be even in QP, a few games of pvp won’t hurt you.

I'd disagree. There are definitely balancing problems, but I'm having the most fun I've ever had with D2 crucible. It definitely needs help, but I'd hardly say it's unenjoyable.
-
7 RepliesIf you truly want the reward at the end of said quest, you should have to play pvp. If you hate it that much that you are going to make a forum post you clearly don't want the reward. Simple as that. Stop complaining and get good.
-
I totaly disagree. Pvp is by far in the best place it has ever been thats including D1.
-
-blam!-ING...THANK YOU! Bungie...you reading this!? PvP is a minority in this game so stop making it a majority! This is PvE VS PvP all over again!
-
Thats why they need to bring back trials so this sweat lord have their own place , and usually stats farmer that always qp stomping is pile of trash

1 Replymy KD is under 1.0 and I still kick ass and have fun in Competitive and casual play. Grow a set and use what works. I just earned LUNAS HOWL for christ sake. Took me six months but if Im not complaining then you should be hiding under a rock
-
1 ReplyIt's not just PvP that's a mess. Gambit/Gambit Prime is just as bad. Too many things can be used/done to cheese the game mode.
-
I like the crucible.
-
2 RepliesIn this case I shouldn't be forced to do the shitty pve to get weapons that aren't even viable in pve.
-
Bump!! Been saying it since D1, all exotics should have an optional path. But tbh I believe those requirements exist to help pvp up its numbers, I mean if it weren’t for milestones quests and bounties etc how many people do you think would really be playing it? So just give the player the option to choose how he wants to attack the quest or milestones be it pvp or pve or both. And I don’t care about lore (sry I’m not sry) it’s not in the game so idk.
-
I agree.... as someone who played a decent amount of PVP in D1.... all the Exotic Quest, every IB I have about 2 Hours of D2 PVP in... its rubbish, everyone knows its rubbish and Bungie dosn't seem to want to fix it.
-
3 RepliesYou have herd that we are getting a deadicated crucible season where there rebuilding from the massive changes in shadowkeep

Thorn would like to know your location

Maybe they can please every one by making quest steps the are do pvp or pve so that everyone is happy. I mean I totally suck and any and all quest steps that include pvp takes an age fir me lol. so do 2 quest for each step but u only have to complete one. Like kill certain amount of guardians or kill certain amount of enemies in a certain place. Make it so u can gain an exotic in a way that u are best at :)
-
Crucible isn’t in a bad place at the min, there’s only some autos and some scouts that could do with a small buff.

38 RepliesObligatory GIT GUD Stop going into crucible with your garbage loadout meant for add clearing in PvE. People have this odd mentality that since they play so much PvE that characters controlled BY OTHER PEOPLE are just suddenly going to stop moving so you can line up your crosshairs. Not gonna happen. Learn to exploit armor rolls to get as many enhancements - especially those related to targeting - to help you aim better. I go in with my full Last Wish gear that has ZERO benefit to me in Crucible (like literally every armor perk goes against what weapons I have) and using any kind of guns with appropriate perks I walk out of every match with a 2.5+ K/D. There's never been a problem with PvP, especially if you know how to combat stale meta.
-
1 ReplyStop making PvE arbitrary hunt random quest item a requirement then.
-
1 ReplyThe only things in Crucible that are difficult for me to get right now are Mountaintop, Not Forgotten and the Mida Catalyst. What is giving you a hard time exactly?
-
Edited by Oh Lawd He Comin': 7/17/2019 4:15:35 PMI think crucible is currently widely regarded as being in the best state that it's been in for quite a while. Honestly Crucible is the reason I keep coming back to this game. It's the only activity I can sit down and enjoy for hours even with minimal reward being given for doing it. I'll run through my strikes and do a nightfall to get my powerful rewards and chance at exotic loot, but I don't play anything else purely for the fun of the game mode. Even with my Not Forgotten and Luna being nerfed into mediocrity I still can't stop coming back for more. Bungie has made a lot of changes to balance lately I think they have done a world of good. I'm not saying your views aren't valid, but to make the blanket statement that most people agree with you may be less so.
-
2 RepliesMake PVE optional in quests then.
-
2 RepliesI wish the people that were on these forums actually stayed up to date with recent destiny news. If you watch the vidoc they LITERALLY state that they are using shadowkeep as a way to set a new foundation for crucible and keep building on it as the seasons progress. They also said that they were going to focus on it much more in shadowkeep. So they aren’t pretending it doesn’t exist.
-
10 RepliesRelax, there are some changes coming to crucible with Shadowkeep. The main one being a change to the amount of armor you get when you have a super.
-
6 RepliesWhat is wrong with Crucible? Which mode are you referring to?
-
4 RepliesWhat Quest has a crucible requirement that is so ball busting hard that people feel the need to get this ruffled up over? At most they ask you to get a couple kills or play a few matches. The way some of y'all cry, it sounds like they are making you reach Legend in Comp without losing a single match or something. I'm not even that much of a PvP guy and I find most the crucible requirements to be subpar at best.
