Bungie, PLEASE remove bloom from console handcannons. I love 180’s, but they get so boring. With all these exotic handcannons, let alone legendary, I want to be able to use them and enjoy them. With bloom, it’s not so much skill as it is the RNG of where your bullet could land for firing too fast. Please remove it from console!

Bloom is there because of the lack of frames in animations... Remove bloom and fix animations then game will run at 10fps :)

It's so surprising that Bungie NEVER responded to a single bloom related post. Yet, when you say you love *insert event* they give a huge respond. What's the point of bloom? There is no point. It was introduced so people would pace their shots. So.... what's the point of having RPM on guns? THAT makes people pace tehir shots. At max RPM not a single gun should have bloom. Or Bungie could state something like "Better Devils has an 140 RPM. BUT in order to have no bloom fire it at 100 RPM and get outgunned. You're welcome."

92 RepliesEdited by PkmnGymLeader: 6/1/2019 8:03:42 PMIn Forsaken, bloom on hand cannons was reduced to close to Destiny 1 year 3 levels. This means that bloom is so low that it's basically nonexistent. Don't believe me? Answer these questions: - Why does bloom only exist on console? - Why does bloom only exist on 140/150rpms? Neither of these questions can be answered if you consider bloom to be the problem. There's another reason why you're missing your shots. The most likely explanation for this is recoil. Console recoil is significantly higher than PC recoil. Combine this with the visual kick if 140 and 150rpm hand cannons, and you can see why you would have problems. It's hard to land shots when you don't have clear sights after firing. Please, if you're going to make a complaint, make sure to think about what the actual problem is before recommending a solution. Misleading people into thinking bloom exists in a significant form is not going to help. EDIT: I found the patch notes people were asking for! The change was actually done in the Go Fast Update, not Forsaken. Bloom isn't nice but main thing is recoil on 140 and 150 handcannons it's night and day compared to D1 and requiring all crit shots instead of the 1 head 2 body.

Edited by BrothaMob: 6/2/2019 8:02:46 PMThey could at least reduce HC bloom and sniper flinch but they seem to have gotten used to staying in lazy mode especially when it comes to PVP. PC players have it made while Bungie can’t even get D2 to feel as good as D1 on console before Hamrick came in and ruined everything.
-
2 RepliesBloom sucks but what’s worse is the incoming flinch on 110,140, and 150s. It’s terrible to use these HC in crucible because how bad they receive flinch. Almost all scout rifles are the same as well which turns people away from using them.
-
4 RepliesThe problem isn't bloom. The problem is that hand cannons have less aim-assist than they do on PC. EVERY weapon is easier to use on PC than they are on console.
-
4 RepliesIf boom was removed on console bad players would get farmed even more. the skill gap would get bigger more salty Guardians would just straight up stop playing pvp and complain on here about it. The boom lowers the skill gap. Bungie likes to protect the casual player base. I personally would like it but I can see the bigger picture...

2 RepliesWhat’s bloom
-
For the millionth time, excessive recoil is the problem not bloom. If you're not careful in making this distinction bungie may actually fix bloom on controller and everyone will say wtf I thought you fixed this! I have to post this on every thread about bloom on hand cannons. Watch videos by coolguy and fallout about the last word and you will see. Bloom is a minor annoyance, nothing more. Recoil is what kills your weapon feel.
-
You want we should do is just mob outside their main building preventing them from doing anything until they listen to us. We in doubt mob it out.
-
3 RepliesJust play on PC
-
2 RepliesI heard no bloom is going to be Lumina’s exotic perk. Successive hits also progressively build opponents.
-
9 RepliesBungie cannot reduce bloom even if they wanted to lower or eliminate it. Bloom is what reduces the match speed. The fastest players are forced shoot slower, making them vulnerable to death from less skilled players who tend to shoot at a slower pace.

Bump! Consoles are potato’s
-
My question would be why add it to console in the first place? Its easier to aim on pc but they add bloom to console. Anyone know why?
-
4 RepliesI don't know if you've noticed, but hand cannons are already OP. It's the most overused weapon in pvp.
-
It's the exact reason Luna's Howl was so dominant on console.
-
1 ReplyNext season: exotic pistol “Rose” Exotic perk... extra bloom
-
10 RepliesSeriously another one? It's not happening... Stop whining.
-
1 ReplyNerf hand cannons!
-
It’s annoying but you have no other option other then to slow down and time your shots
-
4 RepliesBloom exists on most if not all guns. Why should it only be remo ed from hand cannons? I've seen so many people echoing the same complaint about bloom, but has anyone actually posted videos of bloom actually costing them a gunfight?
-
12 RepliesMight as well tell them to add full auto to all handcannons while you’re at it. You can’t aim if you’re using bloom as an excuse. Stop spraying the dam gun.
-
Needs to happen but it won’t. Bloom lowers the skill gap so bad players don’t get farmed as much by players who are more accurate. Even though bungie still wants to balance two completely different sandboxes with the same changes.
