How can bungie make some guns only accessible to get through gambit or the crucible? Like Thorn etc, I'm literally stuck on trying to get these two guns now
-
I'm literally stuck
Ok, is there a cell phone near you? try calling someone for help to unstuck you? How did you literally get stuck while playing Destiny anyway? Did you fall through the sofa cushions? Get caught on a the springs? Maybe if you scream a neighbor could get curious and come rescue you. Worst case scenario you might have to chew your arm off :/

2 RepliesBecause that’s where they come from m8, army of ones are not difficult to get
-
I got lucky at first, a random got 4 kills and it counted as 1/3 for me in the first game after I reached that step. But I eventually did it myself, was hoping to get good randoms again but it didn't happen and I gave up waiting so just kept trying. Took a few games, mostly due to teammates beating me to heavy and the portal but I got there. Whats ironic is a got about another 4 team wipes in the same evening after I completed that step. Like buses, bruv.

Keep invading, you will get it eventually... Im not a great invader and got it. Have your super ready, have Heavy ammo and go try, 2 with Super, 2 with Heavy, should work
-
Idk it’s not conventional but I did it by using dawnblade to super and teamwipe, back when I played gambit it constantly got teamwipes.
-
You invade.... and kill them all. You're welcome
-
use the wardcliff coil and a nova bomb

3 RepliesSo anybody know any tips on doing the Thorn strike? I'm currently getting killed at the very beginning due to shriekers

Edited by twirlypen: 5/24/2019 4:14:55 AMIf you're talking about Malfeasance, let someone else do it 3 times. I got that step done just by playing for the 25 invader kills. Oh yeah, assists count too. Just put some damage on the invader and if someone else kills them, it'll count for you.
-
5 RepliesI see that you’re on PS4, do you want some help? If I remember correctly, it’s the Malfeasance questline that someone on your team can get three Army of Ones and it’ll progress for you. I’m glad to help. It might take a couple of games, but I’ve got 110+ Army of Ones so I can probably get ‘em for you.

Good super and a machinegun (thunderlord or hammerhead) that's how I got mine
-
4 RepliesSounds weird, but use a 180 rpm scout with full auto

I usually use crooked fang+jade rabbit+distant relation for invasions.
-
I did it a few times with tracking rocket launcher and shoulder charge. Or you get matched with a good invader and they can get it for you with 4 team wipes. My son got 4 team wipes in one match many times, he's a great invader.
-
I've wiped enemy teams with just about everything. Hand cannons, fusion rifles, rockets, pulse rifles, snipers, supers, grenades, etc. You just gotta get the perfect moment to invade and catch the enemy team with their pants down
-
Golden gun with a heavy machine gun or sniper to finish off the ones that survived
-
Edited by TwigTwig: 5/22/2019 9:40:44 PM6 shooter golden gun and/or 1k voices will get you a team wipe pretty easily

2 RepliesThorn isn’t locked to crucible m. The quest either makes you run through unpopular pve grinds, Io bounties, EP(fun but low population), sand blind well. Or you can take your sweet time and go into crucible and kill what I think is 15-25 (warlocks, hunters, and titans) then run the strike. Thorn is in no way tired to crucible but hits not a bad trade off to go in and kill one class specifically. I agree with Malfeasance though, as not only do I have to play and win in gambit, but I have to kill a special boss that spawns randomly. Hurts my heart and why I hate /don’t enjoy gambit
-
I just ran Recluse, my groll nite of the Fox, and any tracking rocket launcher on a six-shooter hunter and I got it for myself and later I helped 2 of my clan mates get it. It’s not impossible, it just takes practice.

1 ReplyAs someone that mostly plays invader, go with what you do best with. If you're good with scout rifles use a scout. If you still can't do it, get in a team with a good invader and have them wipe a team.
-
If you're a good fusion rifle player, then Sleeper Simulant, Queensbreaker or Crooked Fang is the easiest way. Allows you to ambush opponents from range, while limiting your exposure to getting team shot.
-
I've gotten a team wipe in several different situations. The one for Malfeasance specifically was a tether fired into a Well of Radiance followed by a tracking/cluster bomb rocket. All 4, one shot. If you're playing Prime, try to invade when you see the opponents doing damage to their Primeval. You can usually catch them grouped up in the Well, but it's harder now that people seem to be a little smarter about sticking close. Don't rush. Right out of the gate, find all the enemies before you start moving. Killing the same player twice counts towards your 4 too. So if you get 2 or 3, go to the respawn area. Helpful when you're invading while being invaded.

Create a fireteam. There will be someone who will help you.

2 RepliesInvader here. My advice: -Supers: Dawnblade for Warlock, six-shot Golden Gun for Hunter, or top tree Hammer of Sol for Titan. -Primary: a scout rifle such Nightwatch or a Pulse Rifle such Blast Furnace. Anything long range will do, really. -Special: a sniper such as Alone as a God (the 140 rpm snipers excel because you can get a two body shot kill if you can’t land the headshot first time around) or Jotunn. Once again, long range excels. -Heavy: Hammerhead, Sleeper Simulant, or any other longer range weapon of your choice. Something else I would consider is making sure your super charges as quickly as possible during the times that you’re not invading. My personal choice on my Warlock is Recluse and Nezarec’s Sin. Gives me Dawnblade by the first invasion 90% of the time.

Should have played some iron banner. I detest crucible but got it done in 5 or 6 games. For thorn that is. For malfeasance you can just let someone else do it for you.
