1 ReplyA little bit, but with the recent release of Outbreak Perfected, I at least want to get it before I take a break.

Not me. I have roughly 150 cores and I barely play. I have a ton of master worked guns and I hit max light pretty fast. You guys just need to learn to manage your balance well. Most people who complain are probably kids who don't have to deal with finances.

Kinda, I just kept deleting stuff that if I want to use them, I don’t have cores to infuse them to be used. So, out of sight, out of mind for me on those. But I never had close to adequate cores for the ones I do keep and those I wanted to fully masterwork. It’s a coping on daily basis. And worthiness and effectiveness after spending that many “precious” cores on a piece of armor or some times on a weapon are just minimal (almost as being laughed at for not choosing “wisely” as they were saying, “we told you so.”). It’s like someone has a Hi-Point, spend $1200 to have Taran Tactical upgrade it and thinking he could use it like John Wick.

At this point I'm really only playing for lore tied to weekly progression; invitations of the nine, week 3 queens court visit. I know I could go to istar collective and read it now but I dunno I kinda like reading it in game. I'm sort half heartedly doing black armory seeing what kind of rolls I can get on certain weapons. I dunno. I just don't feel like grinding for cores for the inevitable power cap increase. Not that I am exactly hurting for them, I've got around 200. I think it's time for me to get the division2. Wish anthem had more content as I really like core game. I hope season opulence has something substantial to offer. I'm not holding my breath though.

Edited by Quaddity: 5/7/2019 5:25:39 PMI was more put off by Bungie going to this Annual Pass crap (pay now find out right before each release what you paid for) I didn't buy it and I haven't played D2 now in months and I don't miss it. Hoping they make a better Destiny with D3. I think I logged in once since January at the beginning of the last season.

When i dont have the materials to infuse something to 700 i just instantly delete it now. I dont even care anymore. Once you have like 10 guns you really like at 700 and a bunch of armour you like wearing, youll start to dismantle 700s all day because of how this game is. I have probably instantly dismantled over 100 700 items in just the past week. The infusion system is ABSOLUTELY aweful. AND, i would argue that it is actually WORSE once you are 700. Milestones are for 700 gear to infuse into items you like. THATS IT. If i cant instantly infuse that reward item, doing that activity is useless, making 99% of all milestones and this entire game useless. I do not and will never have the patience to horde infusion materials, farm them everyday, farm cores. As it is i do enough scrapper bounties to be able to infuse - im over it. I know im not the only player like this at this point. I go to infuse, if i see red i instantly dismantle. No one has time to grind cores, planetary materials, etc. It is BACKWARDS for experienced players in an RPG to be completing ENDGAME CONTENT and then have to go do a LEVEL 1 PATROL ACTIVITY to farm materials. Its either that or let spider rip you off daily for anything more then 2 cores. Hello??

5 RepliesCores started the put off, but the lack of any really engaging content isn't helping. Sunday I logged in, did a mission, wondered why I bothered, and then switched back over to Borderlands 2. Cores sucks a LOT of fun out of the game, though. The grind is sinfully dull, and for what? To get to continue to use the gear I already earned? F*** that.

Not particularly

If they'd just fix Spider it would not be so bad. But there are lots of ways to get cores. In fact 'if' you had the time to invest in it you can get a over 40 per week just from weekly clan reward (7 per char) and Spider has bounties, 3 fast and easy 3 easy but timing can be a -blam!- sometime plus the harder boss so 7 from Spider. That's 14. You should easily be able to afford 2 cores/day (I never buy more then 3, way to expensive) that's another 14. So per character that's 42. now if you do that on all 3 characters 126 per week. Now reality sets in, who really wastes all their time farming cores? NO ONE! Add to that how many cores it takes to Masterwork 1 weapon, opps that's almost a weeks worth of core grinding. Yea, only my fav weapons are master worked and frankly I'm still not convinced its worth while to master work armor. For me some is, most ain't. So obviously Bungo thinks cores are plentiful, this is a great mechanic. The people actually playing (not the streamers who live in Destiny 24/7) say ITS BROKEN and guess who's right? Sorry Bungo!

I just became a tool like everyone else and play pvp but on a warlock

I've basically cut my play down to one character (except during The Revelry), and stopped trying to actually level up even that character because of them. The system is broken and has turned what was a shallow but enjoyable game into a shallow exercise in futility as an RPG. I just play to shoot things in the face....and chase particular loot items.
-
If you don’t play because you don’t have them... well then you won’t get any 🤷♂️ I have a few hundred, just from regular play... don’t care if they keep them or get rid of them. I run out of glimmer like crazy each “expansion”, nothing else.

25 RepliesThis post is like a magnet for neckbeards, you can already hear the faint calls of "casuals" flying from above their Dorito covered third chins.

I’m honestly considering moving onto another game permanently after Opulence. Enhancement cores is one thing, but lack of activities that don’t feel like a chore is another.

I am
Left when the shit was first introduced into infusion in Forsaken. Saw the current shit storm coming back then.

I stopped thinking about cores and one day i checked to see how many i had. 117.

Edited by W33DEDPLAGUE: 5/7/2019 3:47:56 PMCores are whatever. I get to max, have a few max items and don't care. It's a couple of weeks of a crappy system and I move on. It's really not that big a deal to me. At least not a deal-breaker..I think, when it comes to things like cotes, people focus too much on obtaining them instead of just playing and letting it haplen. Do you really NEED to infuse that item right this second? Just play what you enjoy and worry about that stuff later.
-
Don’t play for cores then. All the fun activities don’t need a high light anyways
-
10 RepliesWell if you'd play you'd actually have them.

Not me. I've got a little over 100 cores but not really anything worth spending them on until I get some gear with Enhanced perks on.

39 RepliesThis is the same guy who cried about one eyed mask nothing to see here casuals lol everyone here has cores find something new to cry about

[I’m not playing destiny ATM because I’m playing other games.]

Yeah i got tired of the chore of gathering them, it's also meant i've not bothered getting some of the arnour sets like iron banner because it just means more cores to grind before i can use the gear. Instead i've been really enjoying playing Assassin's Creed again, playing in chronological order of historical period starting with Edward Kenway

Cores are a big problem. It's bad for the casual player because even if I play and get cores as soon as level cap increases again I'm forced to play bungies way and not my own by not using stuff I want to and using boring stuff all the way to max light which I find a very broken vision of this game for whoever had it. But there's not much of a playerbase left anyway but that's because of how bad this franchise has become with lacklustre content. Also cores prevent you from working on multiple builds
