7 RepliesI saw the Passion was I was a little kid and I started crying in the middle of it, so I didn't finish it, but I probably should watch it again now that I'm older. Very horrific what happened to Jesus, like how does one even survive getting to the place to be crucified. At least we don't have to experience it. Put's into perspective how much He loves us

Edited by TheArtist: 5/1/2019 10:37:21 PMThat movie was made right as Mel Gibson was finally going off the deep end. So its portrayal of The Crucifixion was pretty over-the-top. But lets get real. The Romans didn't come to dominate Ancient Europe, North Africa and Asia Minor by being nice people.

No one forced you to do anything. If you didn't really want to watch it, you didn't have to. You would gave had an alternative assignment. Excellent movie though.

5 RepliesIssa good movie. Did you learn from it? Definitely changed the way I thought about Jesus's death. I saw it for the first time when I was 9

ACLU where you at!?

Fun fact: When Jesus cries “My God my God, why have you forsaken me?”, he’s actually referencing the beginning of a Psalm that the Jewish knew quite well that basically summed up his entire purpose on earth.

3 RepliesOof yeah My religion teacher in middle school didn't show it to us but told us it was one of the more... "graphic" Christian Movie's out there. But hey, the world was a dark place, especially back then...

Saw it first time this Easter and i now see the brutality of His crucifixation in new light. Also my pastor went in depth on the science and medical stuff of it. I went to another church that week so I need to go listen to it

34 RepliesIt’s a great movie, if you look back into history. He was the only person ever to have been scourged then crucified

I watched that when I was young I think 0-0 Interesting movie I guess.

I should watch it again. A lot of the more recent “Christian” movies have felt off in one way or another
