Title
Edit: I understand that Bungie has put a large amount of their team on D3, something which I honestly believe to be a smart idea. However, they need to put a bit more effort into D2 right now as it is their current game. If people didn’t enjoy D2 how do you think they’d feel about D3? With this in mind, D2 needs a bit more support. But... if they were to keep working on D3 I wouldn’t have a problem. With all the leaks I’ve heard, it’ll probably be pretty dope.

1 ReplyWhen it comes to PvP they’re not trying at all. 0/10. At this point I may not may not purchase D3. I’m fvcking pissed that they’ve basically abandoned a game that isn’t even two years old.

Stay fresh dumb mfssss
That's a bit better. And if we're being honest, as things were and with the current issues, I absolutely will not hand over my $$$ sight unseen for a destiny 3. I got burned too hard on preordering Destiny 2.

Lol... comments are entertaining. None of you crybabies will ever be pleased no matter what happens in Destiny.

Giant game spaces with hardly anything to do there. "New" armour that is just recycling with a new sticker. Impossible bounties.

32 RepliesThis will probably get lost in all these comments below.... but, here is my opinion. As someone who has been playing since ‘vanilla’, the Bungie team has gone above and beyond with this game. They’ve gone above and beyond for this community. They will never be able to satisfy this WHOLE player base unfortunately... and honestly, they shouldn’t. Since D1 this community has grown more toxic by the days, months, years. I’ve seen the growth in this game. No, I’m not always happy with changes or don’t agree with everything their team decides and implements but to say that they’re not “trying” is absolutely insulting, not only to Bungie but to most of us that still really enjoy this game after 5 years. I hate to be that kind of person who says, “if you don’t like this game, then leave”, but Jesus, if you come on forums like these day in and day out, simply to COMPLAIN and someone like me has to constantly see things like this.... then maybe it’s time for you to switch games. Honestly, with all it’s improvements, if YOU still think this game is shitty and Bungie isn’t “trying”, this game is not for you. Please go away. Ok. I’m done. Lol ❤️❤️❤️❤️

1 ReplyWould I like the studio to produce more content, and provide more frequent updates? Yes. Would I like the employees of the studio to be treated like humans, and not forced to work ridiculous hours? Yes. Would I like the content provided to work, and not be a buggy mess? Yes.
While there certainly is room for improvement. I think the industry is giving us some unrealistic expectations of what a studio can produce in a given time frame. Look what happened with Anthem.
Arrogant consumerism at its finest.

I mean, it's pretty funny for people to judge how hard a team is working when they literally have NO idea what goes on at Bungie.
-
Yeah. This season thing doesn't work like it does in games like fortnite.
-
From what I’ve seen Bungie is very passionate about their work
-
To fix the invitation bug? Yeah they aren't
-
I don't believe their employees should "crunch" anymore than what is completely necessary. I'm sure they are trying their hardest and I would question if you ever have.

5 RepliesI'd be surprised if they even got 30M USD gross sales from the Annual passes sold. Bungie isn't exactly a mom and pop shop. 30M is not a lot of money to keep a train like Bungie on track for so long. The problem sometimes are people's expectations. What did people really expect for 35 bucks? That's not even the cost of a movie date. For what I spent on the Annual pass, I probably spend on coffee and tea for a week. Most of the time, video games earn well from micro transactions (which is universally branded as evil, and is not a big part of the Destiny experience), ads and commercials, and/or licensing. The closest Bungie has ever had to a big licensed product was Halo and Masterchief. That was a looong time ago. Just look at Blizzard. Blizzard was a money making monster just a couple of years ago, look at where they are now.

I think they're hardly trying.

Harsh thread. I'm very critical of a lot of D2...there is a lot to be critical of. 18 months in and it isn't at D1 standards, let alone the improvement that is expected from a sequel. But I do think Bungie work very hard, in what is at times a very thankless industry, and they are doing their very best. It's more the case that their best probably isn't enough (hard work doesn't tell as much as passionate work) and they have simply bitten off more than they can chew trying to realise a game series that was conceived in its entirety by staff no longer at Bungie.

28 RepliesEdited by Veilfire07: 4/29/2019 8:14:47 PMThe people at Bungie are some of the most hardworking people in the industry. We might not always agree with the direction of the franchise but this universe, these games, the lore, story, characters & gameplay is all thanks to countless hours of hard work from so many of them. While I don't always agree with them, I will never sell them short. They are one of the best in the business which is why people expect them to consistently deliver. (P.S: Maybe change the title to "Isn't trying hard enough to please everyone" - which no one ever can)

4 RepliesThe fact and proof of the last two weeks of issues...revelry a complete mess and now the nine card...and bungie openly admitted to not fixing them and just letting it play out...shows pure laziness! The community needs to teach them a lesson that this is unacceptable...All these people that pay for these micro transactions and annual pass...WASTE OF MONEY! I am not convinced bungie is worth anymore time and money from me. Side note...The constant nerfing weapon circle is getting old too...

Its crazy how when bungie put a whole bunch of people on d2 when d1 was still out then got to d2 lack luster with ssdd

I understand that Bungie has put a large amount of their team on D3, something which I honestly believe to be a smart idea.
I'm sure they won't let you down. fast forward several years and Destiny 3 releases with a battle royale game mode

I'm going to bet they're pushing to get a new version out ASAP now that they are no longer under Activision and they are completely reinventing things from the looks of who they let go. They have Opulence more or less wrapped up and don't need them anymore for what they want to do next.

Title With all the leaks I’ve heard, it’ll probably be pretty dope. Stay fresh dumb mfssss
Same hype with this game, how’s that working out
-
It’s just communication. We don’t know what they’re working on behind the scenes. We got a small little update on what’s going on everything Thursday and that’s about it. But it’s never anything major.

It's not that they're not trying hard enough, it's that there are enough dipshits out there who let them get away with this shitty behavior and continued to throw money at them. They're a game company with the sole intent of making money. Destiny 2 isn't making them much money at this point. They're repeating their design with year one, in a way. Everyone -blam!- about year one DLC because of how disappointing they were. Introduce Forsaken. Majority of people still ended up buying it because it promised to improve the game. And, yeah, I think it kind of did. Not as much as people claim, but whatever. Introduce Annual Pass. No longer can you purchase just one DLC, No. You have to purchase all three before even knowing what they were. Because Bungie did follow up on their promise of better DLC, we optimistically (and probably foolishly) threw money at them to buy a pass for content we didn't even know about. Now, Black Armory was pretty good imo. Added some great guns, the forge mechanic is still kind of fun (or, to me, at least not mind numbingly boring). It added a raid (or mini-raid, since its not that mechanic heavy in comparison to other raids). Looking back, I'm fine with what I paid for with Black Armory. Joker's Wild? I wouldn't buy this shithole again. Gambit is still just as broken as it was before because of how easily you can destroy the primeval. It's almost necessary to stack in that game mode. Reckoning was fun for a little bit, but I honestly find Escalation Protocol to be more enjoyable since the lootpool is smaller. I know that I have a genuine chance at getting one of the EP weapons and can narrow it down based on week. Reckoning? Okay, group of weapons available against Oryx. Ends up having to run the entire thing again multiple times to get a drop. Ends up being a shitty rolled spare rations. The invitations aren't even worth it tbh. You go watch a 30 second cutscene that is pretty much meaningless if you've read the lore pages (though this could change in the future. Doubt it, though), get a powerful drop, thats it. See ya next week! Perhaps Opulence is going to be the big finale to this lackluster season. From the pacing of this season, I'm guessing that any real "conclusion" to this story is going to be in Opulence. Like this is just a little build up before that. If that's the case, I can kind of understand this shithole of a season. It doesn't excuse that, though. And if Opulence is just another letdown? Well, take something from all this and realize you shouldn't have to pay upfront for content that hasn't even been made yet.

As long as they nerf everything in the game to benefit PvP then no they are not trying

It’s obvious that they’ve abandoned D2 and just want to work on D3
