All you haters out there got Ikellos nerfed. Now the energy slot has one less option.

As someone who didn't want to see if nerfed, it's not horrible to the game. It's STILL the best option for melting.... it just adds a bit of variety to the energy slot. There were times I couldn't get a melee off, and just needed to spam shots and it still did work. Trench Barrel was just the icing on the cake, so it's not a horrible nerf. They could have made it a box breathing nerf where only 1 bullet will work.

1 Reply"One less option".. Let's be real, with the overwhelming damage gap the Ikelos shotgun presented, it was the [i]only[/i] option. At least now people might consider using something else for once, and not have that weapon exclusively stuck to their hands.

3 RepliesI never saw even one nerf whining post for IKELOS. Bungie nerfed it because it was so superior to other shotties (in PvE anyway) you either used it and nothing else, or you didn't have it; it was the Gjallarhorn of shotguns. Note also that other guns are getting the reduced power trench barrel, which constitutes a buff. We might soon have a void or arc shottie that does what the IKELOS does.

Not at all. Now the energy slot has many many more options. Before the nerf, Ikelos was basically the only thing to use in PvE and Gambit. Now it's been nerfed, it's still very good but it opens the door for other option for players to use.

I don’t think what they did was good enough. The Ikelos Shotgun and Sniper Rifle need to be redesigned from the ground up.

Bungie stop catering to the hardcore raid players and leave the weapons alone for us pvp players. If you listen to all the pve players they will get all the good weapons nerfed! Edit: the fish are bighting today boys! Throw your bait in while the waters are still warm.
