3 RepliesIts just like blackhammer, a amazing ledgendary weapon. It will get nerfed. And when D3 comes out it will probably be a exotic. But i enjoyed its amazing destructive power at its peak performance. And hey, its still gonna be powerful asf, but not what it used to be. Great gun, great times. But now its time to move on to the next best thing.

13 RepliesIkelos needed a nerf. Let's be honest. Primeval's were dying WAY TOO FAST in Gambit... so much so that teams could instant kill them. You are skipping an entire phase of Gambit by doing that, the balance between DPSing the boss and dealing with invaders. Now games can maybe start actually being fun instead of 4 stacks instant deleting primevals.

3 RepliesI feel like they nerfed trench barrel cause of the new pinnacle vanguard fusion. If you think about it , bungie knew people wouldn't drop the ep shotty unless they had a reason to. So hence the nerf

I’m not surprised because that shotty is pretty much the best energy weapon in the game, but I still don’t agree with it. I’d rather them buff other energy weapons because I’ve done EoW prestige where it wanted me to use a kinetic sidearm, energy scout, and a sword and my team failed. A buff to other energy weapons would of been nice if you nerfed it just to get more weapon variety.

My whole issue right now with this change is that the "Trench Barrel" perk is going to be a random roll on other weapons. This is what made the Ikelos unique. I think bungie should allow us to put weapon mods on the Ikelos now with this change.

20 RepliesFine by me. I found the pressure to use that gun an absolute absurdity. I see it everywhere and you know precisely why. It’s not actually a good weapon. It’s range is offensively bad, the handling is atrocious, and it’s normal consistency is laughable. It had that OP Trench Barrel perk, and I considered it the laziest weapon. I kept it around because it was expected of you to have it for the Raid. No more. If there is ever another shotgun I’d prefer more (I’m actually a fusion rifle guy), I could use that instead. The Ikelos was a stupid easy button and I’m glad everyone is forced to try something new.
