No more nerfs, I'm tired of all the nerf requests
This is what made d2 year 1 soooo bad. So they should make other weapons better.

This “buff only” saying is due to a lack of critical thinking and Understanding of how game mechanics should work.

What made D2 year 1 so bad was low mobility and pulse rifles. In fact, that's kind of what's happening right now. If we weren't able to use special weapons, this game would be a lane camping, pulse rifle spamming wet dream. SO FAR, the only special weapon requiring any skill is a sniper rifle.

PVE, there needs no balance unless the weapons nuke the WHOLE map in one shot. in PVP, i'm for balance. What's annoy is "balance" is keyword and buzz in gaming. people really think balance fix the game when in the end it just kills it in PVE games. if the extreme balancing happens again like start of destiny 2, then let bungie fail. i'm kinda done and will let the "balance" fantasies and clouded judgement kill the games until studios learn and "people" learn that balance don't make games fun.

The destiny community has this ridiculously stupid stance on nerfs and balance, while I think they did in fact go too far with the nerfs to pretty much everything in D1, nerfs need to happen in general for the sake of balance. Right now, pulse rifles in crucible could use a slight nerf. I am absolutely tired of seeing bygones, go figure, and inaugural address used by entire teams in crucible. Sleeper Simulant in gambit is simply ruining the -blam!-ing game mode.

1 ReplySuch a shallow way of thinking. Bungie went too far in the past but making valid nerf/adjustments is essential to keeping a degree of balance. Constantly buffing everything in the game is the most over-simplified process to try and improve any state of the game. If it needs a nerf, properly and responsibly adjust it. If it needs a buff, properly and responsibly buff it.

Balance is necessary for a healthy game sandbox, and if select items need to be toned down in order to maintain the status-quo, then so be it. Ignorance of this basic function in sandbox design leads to power creep.

This isn't what made D2 year 1 bad. It's not even in the top ten reasons. Lack of random rolls was the number one reason (by far, the most requested fix, second place isn't even close). Actual armor perks, bounties, inability to choose PVP type (still not quite fixed), no 6v6, no customizable class trees (still not fixed), Xur sucked (even worse now), shader system was awful (much better now, but could still be even better), removed collections (back now, but kind of stupid), no private PVP matches. That's just the short list. There's a lot more. Nerfs weren't what made D2 one of the worst games in history, all of this crap did.

Nerfs didn’t ruin D2Y1. Don’t give Bungie that insanely easy way out. It might be a small factor but there were much larger issues that made Y1 suck.
