Just as the title says: I used to have an active Bungie account that slowly fell out of use. Now that I've bought a PS4 and Destiny, I've tried retrieving that account but am unable to. Can anyone from Bungie help me recover that account? It's old as hell and has a lot of history associated with it.
Thanks for anything!

2 RepliesAny idea what the name of the Account was? There have been few instances before 2013 where extremely inactive account were deleted. Also, certain log in methods (such as Facebook or Google) were discontinued with time. If your old account had no valid alternate log in method during that time, your account would become orphaned, means that there is nolonger any log in method associated with it, and thus it cannot be accessed. Unfortunately we and Bungie are currently unable to do anything in the case of an orphaned account.

Based on your reply to another post here, you're out of luck. There was a window of time when Bungie was migrating over from their login system (where you could log in using Bungie's own credentials, Facebook, etc) to using a linked XBL or PSN login to authenticate your account. If you didn't migrate your account while you had a chance by linking one of those two to your account, then you've lost access to that account; it's orphaned and archived and you cannot recover it as it no longer has any way to be logged in to. There is a system in place to recover an orphaned account that's no more than 90 days in the orphan bin, but it sounds like yours has been there considerably older than 90 days. If the above is the case, then sadly, there's nothing to be done. Your account is archived and will not be recovered, even if you ask nicely.

2 RepliesI don't know if they will help in this case. Ask yourself this, was the Bungie account linked to an old X-box/PS ID? Shared e-mail? If you can remember the e-mail used they are usually linked and you can log in using that.
