Removing content with the DLC
I can no longer play the prestige nightfall or raid unless I buy the DLC, good job black mailing people into buying the DLC. I was considering buying the DLC but as you have removed content that I have paid for from the standard game I won't be buying it neither will my friends who play with me. The DLC should not change the base game I paid for. The only thing that kept me playing was the prestige nightfall and raid now that has been removed I’m going to quit playing Destiny 2 some of my friends I play with are going to quit also.
Edit: Thanks for the support this has been getting it’s nice to see there is still a good community here

Agreed OP, I was on the fence with the DLC, and this BS has made me certain that I will not be buying any more of their products. I'm voting with my wallet and encourage everyone to do the same

Sadly the same thing happened with D1, vanilla was unplayable after crota was released, weekly, daily and nightfall missions were locked out unless you had the dlc,

There are so many unjustified complaints about the DLC. This is not one of them. Just another thing Bungie didn’t learn from D1 and is definitely a shitty move on their part.

Wow there pulling a d1 again where u are cut out of content if u dont have the dlc thats shity. like for night fall why not just make a none dlc night fall like thay did for pvp there's a choice you can do dlc maps or not dlc maps

1 ReplyDestiny 2 is a "service" if you don't like it enough to keep paying, I simply don't think its the right game for you (I'm not arguing if this is good or not, just stating facts). In fact, I think D2 should move to a subscription model instead and give away predictable content updates to everyone already paying the subscription fee... that would be a business model that more accurately reflects what D2 is ... but people hate subscriptions... so they go with dlc and microtransactions instead (cause for some reason, people hate it less... they still hate it, but it doesn't prevent them from diving in)

We had 3 years of this with D1. Then they release a supposedly much better game that has it all, and it was dog shit. My honest opinion is that this was the time for bungie to give a bit back to the loyal (and sometimes vocal) fans, and they have blown it. It's just more restrictions for not paying up.

I wasn't going to buy it but i game share with one of my kids and he had a Microsoft card saved from his bday and bought it. I warned him not to that it was going to suck. He bought it anyway and sure enough we all thought it sucked big time. Even after I've paid for the game twice now i still don't want a refund. I want my damn game back!

I’m pretty sure the way it used to work was you couldn’t do the NF etc if it was on a new map. Not letting you play at all is shady.
