For anyone wondering about getting Microsoft and Sony to refund you if you didn't buy the DLC you're in luck! This may likely be removed but Bungie done f%£ked up! Whatever money grabbing idiots are running the show finally went too far so go pester Sony and Microsoft for your refund while you can. You simply need to tell them that D2 is now broken due to the DLC and can't be completed. What I hear you ask. Well thanks to their utter stupidity Bungie have moved an achievement to behind the paywall. This achievement is on record with microsoft and sony as being in the vanilla game! It cant be gotten now without paying for the optional DLC. Yep the prestige achievement has been paywalled! It's unobtainable now by you if you bought the base game. Your base game is now officially not finishable and you can get a refund. Took me just 20 minutes and some back and forth-ing as neither sony nor microsoft are aware bungie have done this! Edit: You don't have to even try too hard just make sure the assistant at the other end understands that you can't get all the achievements and so can't Platinum (Sony) and 100% (Microsoft) the game as it stands. Don't lie though. You don't need to as you and everyone else including S and M will not have known this was going to happen. Edit: It appears poor @Lostascendant is scared that people who didn't get the DLC can actually go get a refund due to Bungie being muppets and removing their ability to complete the games achievements without buying the DLC. He's literally running through down-voting everyone like a maniac.

Yup. They did that for every expansion, so that's practically standard. Stupid? Yes, but I didn't expect anything less. That being said, look on the bright side! They're giving you more reasons not to play their game! You can move onto other games like everyone else, where the company will treat you better! I advise Warframe. Great game.

The idiots in this thread saying it's always been this way seem to not remember D1 very well. Nightfalls were taken away, but Raids never were. You never needed TDB to continue playing Heroic VoG. You didn't need HoW to keep playing Heroic CE. You didn't need TTK to play PoE or any Year 1 content. You didn't need RoI to play Heroic KF or any Year 2 content.

Yea dude thats kind of bad. But if you really like the game you would buy DLC. I on the other hand kind of regretting getting the DLC now that I played it. It is fairly bad and utterly compounds every issue in the game.
