Just one step closer to the ever evasive flat tax that should be implemented. Although I’m not a big fan of the massive corporate tax cuts. Those alone have me against the new tax plan.

    It makes much more sense than the ridiculous tax code we've had for quite a while. No one has to worry about whether or not it's fair, companies don't have to hire armies of lawyers so that they end up with so many deductions that the federal government ends up paying them billions while smaller companies wither and die because of that. It would also get the IRS out of everyone's lives.

  • You have to admit, on paper it's much fairer. The whole point of paying a certain percentage is that it scales with your pay. I can see why people don't like it. But obviously taxes would rise for the lowest earners, pushing them way under a reasonable living wage, and with that comes economic and social instability.
